Weâve been to Tanaka numerous times and every time is good but this visit was the best. We were a group of 6 and got sat in a corner which was great. We had our grill to ourselves and it was quieter and nice to see outside through the window across from us. Paul was our server and was thoughtful, quick, and attentive. Jacob was our chef and was fantastic! Jacob was quick-witted, genuine, and enthusiastic. Heâs smart and is truly likable. Thank you for a wonderful triple birthday celebration!

Great place and good food.
Itâs a good teppanyaki restaurant in Waikiki. The atmosphere and quality of food was good. Weâve been here twice (once per visit) in the last two years.
Christian was an entertaining chef who delivered a great meal.
It was fine. Little disappointed we were sitting on the side of the table when there was no one sitting face on to the chef. My son would have enjoyed the show more. The show wasnât anything special since it was such a small group (my family and three others). Plus being seated right next to the bathroom when I made reservations the day before. Everyone was very nice. I kept refilling my water myself and our waiter disappeared so I found a Togo box next to me so I just used that for our leftovers. Donât plan on coming back but will leave it with a good memory.

Food fresh and beautifully cooked ...great waiter stuff and cook...great experience Only negative I felt we were being rushed out after we ate ...once they gave the bill I felt there was pressure to pay and leave !
