If you cannot secure a reservation for the omakase seating, Sushi Sho offers two takeout options: chirashi bowl and futomaki.
Food is good, tasty, and fresh, but 40 dollars for a bento box, probably wouldn’t order it again.
This place is booked out at least a month out so make sure to make your reservations early! Hands down the best omakase on the island. Everything is fresh and beautifully presented. They also have a great selection of alcohol to pair with your meal. If you have a special request and want to order additional servings of a particular dish, you may call ahead to request it in advance for their party. I try to eat here a few times a year and am never disappointed.
I can’t remember how many times I called that number to finally book my reservation. But they worth it. Had a great night with the chief and his prentices.

Just phenomenal! Every single sample was perfection and beautifully presented. My favourites were anything with blue fin tuna. I do wish however mochi was one of the dessert options. Thank you for the amazing experience!
We wanted to try this restaurant for very long time but we can never get reservation, so to just try their food, we decided to order their takeout menu ‘Barazushi’. We went to pick them up at 4:30 pm and immediately went back to the hotel to try but the first thing we all noticed was that it smelled very fishy. We weren’t sure which fish was bad but figured that it was their zukemaguro so we removed it and ate the rest. For a $40 + tax + tip, we expected better and regret even ordering there. Glad to find out before we got the reservation at the restaurant as we would have wasted $300 for the same experience. We are totally disappointed. とっても楽しみにしていたばら寿司のテイクアウトが魚臭くて残念でした。
Excellent omakase. We try to eat here every 3-4 months, ate here with family in Aug and Nov 2021 in the 6 person back room, have another reservation in Feb 2022 for 6 again (my wife's family loves it so much, they have been flying from California just to eat here, as well as several other very specific spots around Oahu). Traditional, reserved, beautiful Japanese sushi. Be prepared for a $400-600+ per person bill but if you can swing it, you won't be disappointed.
Michelin 3 star means WORTH A SPECIAL JOURNEY! I think they will get Michelin star very soon! Even Bento set can give you some michelin level of quality and experience!! I will absolutely come back to get full sushi experiences! All fishes are melting in your mouth. I love the way they make sushi rice! This is One of the best sushi experiences i’ve ever had in my entire life.
I decided to try the special take out on Tock. It looks nice to IG and that was it. Not sure if I’m ready yet to do $300 pp.
