I came to Hawaii for some interesting food. I found some here across from the Honolulu Marketplace. I have a thing for fish tacos, and this is the place. I absolutely loved the taro tortilla option. Do not pass on this. The tacos were excellent. I minus one star because it is one if those build your taco with too many choices. My advice? You are the chef. Have a menu that features what you think pairs. #1, #2 ect. The build your own is too complex, and leads to sauces and salsas that should be on top of the taco, not underneath. The tacos were really good and such, but have pre set combos that make it easier to order. That said, they were delicious and one of the highlights of my trip. The garlic rice was banging too.
So delicious! I ordered the poke tacos and my husband ordered the carnitas burrito. The toppings were fresh and the tortilla was very good. The service was also friendly - would recommend to anyone looking for lunch in the Waikiki area. Do keep in mind the only seating available is two picnic tables in the front - we shared with another couple and it was totally fine.
Grilled fish tacos were not bad. Husband had the shrimp tacos and he liked them. Also got the chips and salsa, the salsa was ok. I think it could’ve of been better. Place does allows you to pick what toppings you want, which is a plus.
Got the kalbi on taro tortilla. Delicious. Fresh ingredients. Just like everything in Honolulu, expensive. Great staff and service. Would have given 5 stars but meat was a teeny bit chewy
This is a great little eatery!!! We had the steak rice bowl, steak burrito, chicken quesadilla and Horchata.All had flavor and balance.Service was fast and friendly. This is our new favorite taco site.Thank You.
had the spam tacos and it was not good at all. Tortillas were cold. cheese at bottom of tortilla wasnt even melted because the tortilla was so cold. Would not recommend
We had a great lunch here. I shared an order of nachos with my daughter and my other daughter got shrimp tacos. You can customize your toppings (like you do at Qdoba). The only drawback here is there is no indoor seating, only 3 outside picnic tables.
3 words: Ahi Poke Burrito. Absolute bomb! Food is good and central to a lot of things in Waikiki!
Decent food, super long wait but great customer service. We had a grilled fish taco, fried fish taco and vegetarian nachos. We made it there twice on our vacation due mainly to its close proximity to our hotel. Big, slow moving line. Took an hour first night to get our order in and maybe 15 minutes the second night.
The nachos are great and also the fish tacos. You can customize them really however you want. There was no indoor seating available and a long line. A few outdoor tables. The food is pretty good, only reason for the 4 stars is because they are really slow. It may be that they were understaffed that night, but the wait per person had people leaving the line to look elsewhere. Without the wait it's worth a try.
