Excellent views, mediocre service, woefully overpriced. The continental breakfast is listed as a cereal, yogurt, fruit and pastries. The description is massively misleading, even when asking the waitress what type of pastry, there was no mention that the pastries were miniature! It's offensive that a hotel would serve something like this for a whopping $25! Equivalent to what you get for free on an international flight for breakfast....The digital menu didn't work, following the link was a 401 error. When I asked the waitress about this she said it worked for everybody else and handed us two menus for five people. Clearly it didn't work for other tables bc they had to also request paper menus. My dining companions ordered other items like pancakes and omelettes which are of normal human size ( and not slapped together from the aisles of ABC), but still completely overpriced.Come here for the views, but do not under any circumstances whatsoever order the continental breakfast, and expect service with an attitude.

The guava pancakes are really good! They are one of the few "flavored" pancakes that actually taste like the flavor they claim to be. The restaurant staff and service are top notch and the lanai offers outstanding views of the iconic Pink Palace of Waikiki. This restaurant is worth coming to even if you aren't staying at the Royal Hawaiian.

Many restaurants have advertised Bacon Jam, Surf Lanai is the first to truly deliver and redefine that term. Had the spare rib Benedict. Meat just collapsed at touch of fork and just pure flavor. Bacon was crisp and crunchy and then the bacon aftertaste just lingers leaving you craving more. Wife had French Toast Bread pudding, sweet and succulent. ComPine all that with great views and welcoming service, it is worth the price.

Not sure if my $32 Bacon and Eggs was worth it...or the $5 toast but the coffee was. Early morning sunrise breakfast on Waikiki. Service was good...not busy. Plenty of seating. Masks and vax cards are required.

I love my breakfast here and the service was excellent. Oh, the view is majestic

Beautiful views! Good food. Attentive and friendly staff.

Got the Short rib eggs benedict and it was delicious. Heads up This place is expensive, but it's located near the beach at the The Royal Hawaiian. All workers were so kind and it was a great place to start our morning.

Food was good, but overall seems dated and overpriced. $32 for scrambled eggs and potatoes is a bit crazy. The atmosphere almost makes up for it though.

Super expensive if you aren't staying at the hotel, and the food was ok at best. Staff were nice which is how it got a second star

I went to Surf Lanai for breakfast has the pink pancakes, sausage, eggs and pineapple juice. The food was good and expensive $27 for a stack of pancakes and $32 for eggs, sausage, and breakfast potatoes. Good but I won’t pay that price again.
