We tried the chicken and steak both. They had great flavor. Chicken was my favorite with taste and tenderness. Steak had great flavor but a bit on chewy side than we prefer. Salad was ok as it's just from a store container.
Steak shack is one of my favourite lunch/dinner spots to take to the beach. The regular steak plate (6oz) is the perfect size for one person and comes with rice and salad with the choice of ranch, Italian, or thousand island dressing. My steak was slightly over cooked to my medium rare preference but it was well seasoned and still very tender. Not chewy or tough at all!It's a busy place so be prepared to wait - but the food is worth it. I went at noon and waited about 20 minutes for my order.
Call ahead for your order. I called ahead and still had to wait. The food was delicious. They do not hold back on flavor. We bought 2 of the chicken/ steak combos. Comes with rice, salad, dressing and meat of choice. Be aware that you must walk up stairs to get to the location. This location is quite literally a shack.
I was skeptical about the meat being grisly or fatty. The meat was not at all! The peppery seasoning along with the teriyaki sauce was a superb. Meal comes in different weights of meat so that you can customize the portion to your level of hungry. I got the 10 oz portion and it was enough to fill me up. Would highly recommend this spot if your in the Hitlon Hawaiian Beach resort in Waikiki.Also a great place to catch a sunset picture!
Good if you're at the beach and want some decent steak. Expect a long wait at certain times. Seemed like all the meats were cooked the same - rare = medium = well done... same same. Worth trying.
This is by far some of the best Hawaiian style steak and chicken I have tasted, they are not shy about seasoning. This is a hidden gem that everyone should try. There is not an extensive menu with only steak or chicken on the menu but they do it very well…the price was not bad…a combo plate and water is about $20 and yet get enough food to be full…it was so nice we ate it twice!
Great taste! Actually for me, the smallest plate - 6oz is more than enough for 1 people ;)You can choose cooked level for the stake & sauces for the salad.It served with salad & rice! ???However, the place is too popular so, you have to wait a little
It's a must try spot in Waikiki. This delicious steak and rice dish is unreal, its so simple, but so flavourful and delicious. The staff are super friendly. It's a great meal to just grab and walk down to the beach / park and have.
As good as it was 12 years. Paid $20 dollars and got lunch with drinks. Sorry, unheard of. Great place and great food. Nothing fancy, but the but I feel a must place to go.
