The food is good but the line is always terrible even with just 4 people there. Id go somewhere else but this one of the cheapest plates in the area.
Old school local food. Lots of options and specials. BBQ Burgers, saimin, and plate lunches are some of the best you’ll find. Can get good ole Green River drink too. Haven’t been for breakfast, but looking to grab the Hawaiian sweet bread French Toast.
Aloha my people ; alright I am really sad to say this was my favorite place before the renovation. The bbq cheese burgers were the best and could not be beaten but now they are just patties with cheese and not sure why but they even changed the buns. I was very disappointed. We also tried the Bento and it was OK.... I am not saying it's not good just not as good as it once was.

Always a fav when in Honolulu, 1st stop after long flight and didn't disappoint, except we can't eat there anymore they closed of the outside eating area. We managed to find a green area and parked at Chaminade College, nice and quiet and cool for lunch.Seafood bento was good 'n tasty only single shrimp tho, not overcooked. The Friday special: laulau (nice fatty, juicy, tender pork belly), lomilomi salmon (not enuf salmon, but tasted good), Kalua pig, glass noodle soup all very tasty, but mac salad was just....meh.Wish we had equivalent place in Silicon Valley!
This establishment is garbage poor customer service food is just as bad. I asked the cashier to ring up her mistake and got a very rude remark stating that she already rang up my order and refused to change it and she wanted me to oay for food i didnt order. Hope this helps you. By the way their fish is disgusting.
Still excellent and I highly recommend it. The plate lunches are all delicious and very affordable. One the the few place with great prices for plate lunches. A lot of places are going overboard $$$ just for a plate lunch. Dis is Hawaii no make ladat.
Ordered the Hawaiian plate. The laulau was very disappointing I didn't like the cut of meat in it. I enjoy with a little fat and didn't have the little butter fish. I would have like a little more laulau. The chicken long rice wasn't done enough. Very disappointing.
