Ended up leaving the restaurant without receiving food but not a great experience. The host/owner (?) was pretty rude and silenced other customers whenever asked questions. He kept blaming the customers for being “too busy” and ignored everyone’s needs. It seemed like he was prioritizing DoorDash and online orders more than the people waiting in the restaurant. I’d check out other places as the only redeeming factor was the super nice lady working in the back and taking care of customers.
This Korean food is legit and SO good! Any bad reviews are honestly haoles that don't understand Korean culture.Order the bibimbap in the hot stone bowl, omg, it's delicious!
Went in to have an early lunch as the reviews were so great. As a Korean myself, I was excited and proud to be in a successful Korean restaurant. I was terribly disappointed when the owner (guy) asked for Vax cards and kept doing other things even though we had our cards out. Then when we looked at each other in confusion, he yelled “Get Out”!!! We were stunned and walked out without any conversation or a chance to show our cards. He said we had an attitude which is an UNTRUE statement and absolutely horrible. I will NEVER eat there nor suggest others to so. I don’t even want to give even a star, but instead I’d like to give it negative five stars. Terrible attitude towards customers and I bet the good isn’t that great. How could it be good with an owners who is full of anger and hate.
I’ve always passed by this place and wondered if it would be any good but today a buddy of mine recommended it. We went and I was not disappointed. The guys that work there give gangster vibes but they were nice when interacting, lol. The food was delicious and the price was right. I highly recommend coming here!
It's been years since I've eaten at So Gong Dong (last time was when they were in McCully Shopping Center). I had their combination tofu soup. I forgot about all the other vegetable dishes they provide, and the raw egg to crack open on the bubbling hot soup. Everything tasted really good!
The soup and Bulgogi were fantastic. One of the better Bulgogi I have eaten. The Soondubu is packed with tofu and the broth was perfect. The service was also good. I will definitely return.
The food is very good but the server (guy) has no personality and very dull customer service. Makes the place very boring! He belonges in the kitchen. Would of gave 5 stars.
I remember this restaurant from a previous site at McCully Shopping Center. It was great then. This was a dim reflection of that restaurant. Kalbi was overcooked, service inattentive. Only good item in 5 items was the soon dobu.
Fantastic every time! You can't go wrong at So Gong Dong!
We all got food poisoning from this place. 10/10 would not recommend.
