Breakfast, mimosas, etc
The Mimosa was fabulous! Breakfast burrito was also yummy!
This was a little paradise! After walking looking for somewhere not generic my friend and I spotted this little gem in the corner down a block from where we were standing. The staff was all very friendly. The coco mojito was pleasing to the eye and tongue. I ordered the açaí bowl which was yum. I also ordered the grilled baby romaine which did not have a description and I should have asked. It is a head of romaine that has been grilled with Caesar salad toppings. So think more of a grilled Caesar salad.
In this place, it's just a flying burrito with extra cheese. This masterpiece will not leave even a huge man hungry. I highly recommend it. The burger is also not bad! I promise to be here for breakfast tomorrow.
One of my favorites places in Honolulu, I love the food and the drinks, my favorite drink is Coconut Mojito ? ? the best in all Honolulu, all the food menu at Happy Hour is excellent. Also the Hawaiian Mai Tai is delicious. I give you a TIP the food and drinks can be expensive but if you come in Happy Hour (Tuesdays until Sunday 4pm-6pm), and all day happy hour on Mondays, the prices will be more reasonable.
We took our first trip to Hawaii. Our arrival had us going to lunch for our first Hawaiian meal. There are places to eat every four steps. This place called out to me. I don't know if it was the name, the pictures, location, or something else, but we were honored to make this the first. The decor is lively, the staff was friendly, and the food we had was, well, ambrosia. We shared the kalua pork sandwich. For our side we chose the fries. If this meal was to be an indication of what was to come for the week, it meant lots of good food. The fries were crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside, not soaked in grease, and full of flavor. The sauce on the coleslaw was amazing. The serving size was smaller than I expected for the price, but this was my first meal in Hawaii. I guess I was expecting mainland serving sizes for the price, but this is Hawaii, so don't do that.If you are in the fence, give it a shot.
A very enjoyable experience at a restaurant with a great local feel. There were too many items to choose from but I ended up having a great appetizer and main course. The food was excellent. The service was excellent and being located right next to a surf shop was a great Hawaiian touch. I was mildly disappointed that the website listed an all day brunch and when I inquired about it the waitress said oh that is the other location. That should be more clear. Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience there.
Good food and friendly service. I think they were short-staffed so our drinks were a little slow, and they wouldn’t accommodate any changes to a menu item (changing out fries for three asparagus spears would’ve tacked on $3, and FORGET about getting my chicken sandwich without a bun and inside lettuce, no ma’am). There was no bathroom in the restaurant either, and I was given a key card to use at the attached hotel. Still inside the building, but a little awkward. We started with a spicy shrimp appetizer, which could have used a little more spice and seasonings. My hubby had the steak tacos, which were just the right size. Again, I had the grilled chicken sandwich, with fries (forget about the asparagus, lady!). It was good. Not stellar, but good.
Terrible, Why not say when we sit down that you have no fish or mayonnaise?! We are in Hawaii for goodness sake! Our waitress, the one with the blonde hair hair, was so miserable and inattentive. Avoid if you can there are plenty of other lovely places to eat, upstairs for starters or lulus which is only a short walk and to be honest we wish we had of gone there!
My husband and I went for happy hour at this restaurant because the food looked great along with the restaurant, prices and it is close to where we are staying. It’s been three years since we have been to Hawaii so things have changed, understandable. COVID, short staff and other things too, I get it. We were greeted by a very nice person at the front who lead us to our table. As we sat down they said your server will be with you in a moment, ok thanks. After about ten minutes of waiting no one came. The restaurant was not busy at all. There was about five other tables occupied in there. The whole time in there the two young servers stood behind the bar talking, one came out once but that was it. One server came out to give a table their food, looked at us and walked away. But other then that no one acknowledged us. The table was dirty too. Really people COVID. After fifteen minutes of nothing we left and I told a group of five people who were going to go in there to eat not too because the services was terrible. Won’t be going back there.
