Scary place. Friends had to throw away 3 of my drinks since 3 seperate guys (!!!) tried spiking them. Then tried to go to the bathroom and a few other guys tried fiddling with the lock to barge in on me.That said, the vibe isn't bad, it's overall fine. It's not a gay bar though- it's a club. Ladies, don't let the lure of a "gay bar" lull you into complacency like it did to me. There are a lot of ill-intentioned men that go here to capitalize on your comfort. It's fun. Just keep your head on a swivel, watch your drinks, don't cross fade unless you have great friends or your S/O there to watch you, and whatever you do, stay the heck away from the gender neutral bathroom toward the front. Only go to the women's bathroom in the back. (Maybe that's self explanatory, but when you're wasted and you see a bathroom sign, all you're thinking is, "Bathroom?")
Too crowded and sweaty for me. I lived the drag show so I would put five stars alone for that, but a lot of straight people. I like my bars and nightclubs to be strictly lgbtqia+ because it gets weird when you see a drunk straight girl slapping a gay guys butt. I feel like stepping in and I just don’t like how commercialized the place seems. But the drag queens are gorgeous. Too young of a crowd for me and there’s some straight guy predator vibes there too. Just not my scene.
We had a lot of fun here. Got to stand up on these cage-looking things that overlooked the club and also took these stairs by the bathroom to go up what seemed to be a small VIP balcony with a higher view of the club! The music was on point - one of the best DJs we ever vibed to. He just knew what to play and how to remix/transition the music. There is a dancefloor where anyone can just go up on. There is another walkway floor where drag queens and shirtless men peform! The drinks were good. The place was extremely busy on a Friday night. Surprisingly, there were a lot of us straights and people were definitely recognizing it, haha. Everyone had fun and there were no issues in our experience.
Scarlet Honolulu has an AMAZING show that never misses! They also now have an ATM on site to make tipping those performers that much easier...also, drinks are cheaper when paid in cash ??
Cute place! Drag show was my favorite! I can do without the crowded club scene though. It’s for the younger kids. We stayed in the cut.
My boyfriend and I went on a Friday night and it was just a straight club. Every fifth person was gay and it made us uncomfortable. There was little to no representation and the straights were taking over a gay space aggressively. My boyfriend got shoulder checked twice just trying to walk through the crowd. All in all if you’re apart of the LGBTQIA+ community I wouldn’t go its over priced and unfriendly to us in our own space.
Too hot, drinks are terrible, there's too much going on at once and really, a $20 cover? Not it.
A lot of fun if you're ok with the $20 to get in and $11 vodka red bulls. This is the party place for sure, but -1 stars for being packed like sardines around sweaty shirtless people lmao
Great club. Lots of white guys. Lol. Seriously. The gogo with the glasses. Was told his name is Patrick but probably not his real name is really cute. Open Friday and Saturdays. They closed at 145am. Cover is 20 dollars.
We used to like this place then tonight they kicked us out for absolutely no reason. the “bouncer” actually started swinging at my girlfriend then punched her to the ground. and then kept swinging at her. until we ran away. i was respectfully trying to ask why we were kicked out. they gave us no reason at all. she has bruises. really really sad that this is a place we used to feel safe.
