The nachos were flavorless. The rest of the menu did not sound appetizing and looking at other people's foods, they were not appetizing. Beers were beer and service was ok. Got a stomachache shortly after. I really regret eating this after having such great seafood all week.
I ordered the pork sliders. It was served like one long hotdog. I wish I could include a photo. The meat was kind of like lukewarm with the fast rendering clearly indicative of having simply been microwaved. They were too lazy to pull apart the buns but still called it sliders. That’s a new low. It shows that nobody here cares. They serve travelers passing through and they know there isn’t much competition within the airport. To anyone who thinks this is common or that the travel experience must be this bad, I assure you that it’s not.
Would've given 2 stars if I didn't have the worst airport food at Monke's grill at YVR Airport. In comparison, Sammy's is on the better side of airport food.
Ordered the chicken sandwich, the chicken was extremely salty like it had been soaked in some sort of preservative broth, was dry and only just warm like that had just thrown it in the microwave. Chips were fresh but way over seasoned. $18 wasted.
I order the cheeseburger which came out very quick. It had no seasoning at all. No worries, I just asked for salt and added condiments. I ate my burger and drank water and went to board my flight. Halfway through my flight the food poisoning set in. Not a pleasant experience at all. Definitely will not be going back to this place. You only get to poison me once.
The dressing for beach salad is something out of this world. Food was fresh and very tasty. . Our waitress Ronda was professional, knowledgeable and very sweet.
You have to order and pay online before you get service but even then we didn't and had to walk up to the waitress after waiting an hour for our food. She was very rude and threw our cold food on the table and walked away without asking if we needed anything else. We never got water or any other visits from the waitress.
We were here first and served last. Bar tenders an A Hole rude and grumpy old man and the online menu shows pics of food they don’t even serve.I suggest burger king next door.
Great breakfast at a super reasonable price. Loved watching the planes take off and land too.
The loaded Chili was sweet and had an odd odor and taste. We did not consume it. Nachos were sparsely topped and included a sweet green sauce that might have been avocado, water and sugar. We paid for a 20 oz Stella Artois and received a 50cl glass, 17 oz. The service was okay, but given the cost, I strongly discourage anyone from going.
