Aloha; new place in town and it's delicious. The staff is awesome and super kind. The place has an upscale japanese feel and the food is amazing. I recommend doing many pupus instead of one dish ... better to try all the small dishes.. so worth the time and money. Enjoy
2nd visit for dinner. Tasted good. Dishes came out different from the pictures on the menu. Overall is okay. Service may need improvement.
New, beautiful Japanese RestaurantLocated in Ae'o at Ward VillageThere's Ample parking above Rinka in the Whole Foods parking garage (entrance /upramps on Queen St and on Halekauwila)High ceilings and modern design makes it a very special place for a lovely Japanese meal.If you are visiting for lunch, I would highly recommend the "Jewel Box" lunch set - Chiraishi, Udon, Chawanmushi (egg custard w gelatin) and 2 small side dishes. It's really amazing value and delicious!!
The sashimi was delicious & the uni was oh so smooth like butter! Also everything was reasonably priced. The service was byfriendly & I would definitely go back to try their omakase
Delightful evening at Rinka with friends. The black sesame tofu was superb, smooth, and made in-house. Sashimi was excellent, firm and fresh. Croquettes were cloud-like. Salmon-skin salad had a lovely range of textures and an original and tasty mustard dressing. An inventive, light desserts, kinako chiffon cake with cream and some fresh fruits, ended the meal in a elegant fashion. Service is quick, polite and professional.
If there was a 6..Rinka would be it. Superb Japanese (traditional) food and a great dining experience, every time. Sushi is one of the best to be found on the island. Save room for their desserts!
We always love coming to Rinka. The staff is quick and attentive. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share and we’re surprised by the generous portions. The butter fish was humongous! My favorite is salmon chazuke. As a plus, the restaurant is beautiful.
Best Japanese food . The fish is so fresh and everything is so yummy. The service is stellar.
Sushi quality was bad.Udon wasn't hot and small dish nimono and agedashi tofu was although cold.Their style ? Not sure.Lunch set quality was not good than Bozu restaurant and Suntory restaurant. In other words, the above restaurants are more delicious for Japanese food!!
Dropped in for dinner found that because of the pandemic, we needed to make a reservation. However, just as we were going to order takeout a table opened up due to a cancellation. Great food great service.
