Daily specials are good value. Dine in available. Expanded menu has lower price points
Cheap, fast, and tasty. We got the shoyu chicken and a few bbq burgers. Albeit not the best that we've tasted, it was definitely the cheapest. The burgers were pretty small so you might want to get two or three if you want to have a full meal. There were plenty of spots in the back and a lot of places to sit inside. It's also clean so we decided to eat inside. There are definitely other places we would go to eat for cheap.
Experience was good. Went with my family. Food is good and the staffs/cooks and workers are nice..senior citizens but they really do get the job done properly. Wish the owner would fix it up a lil. Drive thru is old and drive way is rocky with holes..the speaker used to order is from 20+years ago and barely hear them on the other side. Food and workers are the only reason I'm giving it a 4**** but the outside of the building is -1* for me.
Aloha from da Bigpake; this has got to. E one of the best plate lunch places on Oahu... story has it that the owner previously worked at Rainbows Drive Inn.. but just a story. But the only other place that I know that makes boneless breaded chicken with brown gravy and damn it's Ono. They also make great bbq cheese burgers and have my favorite Green River soda. Give it a try if your in the area.
Kinda sad they ran out of their famous shoyu chicken. Really wanted to try it. Got some hamburger (sorry, autocorrect) curry instead. Was a bit too sweet for me. The Mac salad was good tho.
DA BEST POUND FOR DOLLAR DEALS ON DA ISLAND.Just get there early on Sundays, cause they close at 3:00pm.9:00pm regular closing time ?
I've always drove past this place and wondered how it was. Just recently a friend told me how much he loved this place. So I knew I had to try it one day.Fast forward to last week when I knew I was going to be in the area so I made it a point to stop and grab some lunch for me and the better half. My friend was raving how much he likes the chili dog plate and that it is enough food for two meals and the flavor of the chili is good so that's what I got. The chili was ok, not blow my mind (note: the better half and I make a pretty decent chili) and the hot dog was like a regular Oscar Meyer one. I could of eaten the whole thing in one sitting but the better half is watching what I ear lately and told me to eat half only. Truthfully I was satisfied eating half the plate. After all it did come with two scoops of rice, two hot dogs and a scoop of macaroni salad for like $8. So for the price it is a pretty good deal.Today I tried their guava smoked meat with onions. The meat was flavorful. Thinly sliced cuts of meat with grilled onions. It too came with two scoops of rice and a scoop of mac salad. The better half wants to try their shoyu chicken which I heard is really popular. Like it sells out at times popular. I also want to try their breakfast plates if I'm in the area early in the day. What makes Richies unique is that they have a drive through. I think it might be the only plate lunch place that has one. The food comes out in about 3-5 minutes and off you go. The workers are friendly, the food is above mediocre, and they give a plateful. It's a win in my book.Just one note, if you have nice rims with really low profile tires on, you might want to drive really carefully as there is potholes and you might curb your rims. I hope they fix the parking lot one day.
Specials of the day along with some of the menu items will slowly begin to change !! Richies has a great team of hardworking people who provide fast service with the spirit of aloha
Drive thru plate lunches. Corned beef hash patty with bacon eggs over easy. ?
Service is always great. I love their local style food here. But if you are looking for a quick bite like Grilled Ham and cheese or Cheeseburger is what to get. It so good that i can go for round 2. Im so lucky to have this drive inn as my neighbor!!!!
