I ordered "Thai spicy" level of spice and had tofu/cabbage pad see ew. Super delicious and just the right amount of spice!
Good solid Thai food.Been coming here for years. Luckily with all the other new Thai places popping up this place isn't as popular as it used to be so usually no lines
I normally love their food. But today I have time to write this review as I wait. I ordered by phone 70 minutes ago (5:15p) and was told at the time it would be about 25 minutes. I’m still waiting (at 6:26p). They are extremely busy but be aware of this when ordering on busy weekend nights. Apparently the stir fry is the hold up.Update: finally got my order at 6:33p.
We arrived just after they opened for the day and were seated right away. Vaccination checks were done prior to seating. We started with the cucumber salad, which was enough for the three of us. We all enjoyed it a lot. It was cool and refreshing, prepared Medium spiciness. The entrées were quite large. I would recommend sharing for a lunch portion. My noodles was made with homemade noodles. The black bean sauce was very rich. I had it with beef. The service was very good. I'd say overall the quality and value were good, and worth the visit.
Never ate there before but me and my boyfriend order takeout and was notified it was ready so we went to pick up.when I got there had six other folks waiting for their order it seemed everyone was a little upsetno worker was in the front to greet the costumers. couple times I did see workers would pop their head out from the kitchen but immediately run to the back to the kitchen.finally had a server came out but when a customer wanted to ask how long the wait for the food would beshe completely ignored the costumer not once but a couple times and just kept on with whatever other business she had to do.another costumer came in shortly after because he also had a text notification his food is ready he went to the same server with the attitude to show her the text and she straight up said to him “ It doesn’t matter it is a automatic text “ in short story his food wasn’t ready lolol. While I was there I asked the other costumers how long they were waiting for the longest was two hours so me and my bf canceled our order.
Great service. Speedy food to table time. Food was AMAZING! We ordered, Cucumber salad, Pineapple Fried Rice with Chicken, and Rice Noodles and Broccoli. HEAVENLY, ALL OF IT.
As a regular customer of the location at McCully shopping center, before they moved to university st. I have to say that I am extremely disappointed. I work near the ward area and have ordered from this location near ward maybe four times. Every thing that I have received from this branch has been mediocre. Spring rolls with old vegetable matter stuffed inside a tough chewy crust. Poor understanding of the level of spice being used, because everything from the curry to the dipping sauces is far too spicy. Proteins cooked beyond well-done making them chewy and visually unappetizing. To be honest, it feels like there is just a lack of understanding the basics of food science and the cultivation of flavors... I don't even wanna talk about how my green curry has no real flavor. Green curry should be made up from a green curry paste comprised of stong lemon grass, basil, and cilantro flavors. None of which could be detected through the overpowering taste of spice and what I can only assume is coconut milk. I spent just under $50, to eat a meal that I don't enjoy because otherwise I would be wasting food and in some sense I feel that I am owed an apology. Though I do not want nor do I expect an apology. It really is a shame to be here writing this now; and I would highly encourage others to post reviews if their food was less than appetizing as well so that the business owners can see that their products are being poorly received. I would like to add that although I am a cook by profession, I am not a chef, nor am I a food critic and so these are just the opinions of a person that enjoys Thai food, but cannot cook it well himself. The service was efficient and the Thai iced coffee was tastey as per usual. Now this seems to be just another restaurant that I used to enjoy dining at. ? #FeelsBad
Food was alright, I've had much better Thai in Honolulu for the same price or cheaper so 3/5 rating. And minus a star for all the unsustainable plastic packaging, the plastic bag, styrofoam containers, and tons of plastic wrap. You don't care about sustainability? Your very livelihood is at stake, you serve seafood, it's 2021, get with the program.
Good service , food was excellent would come back !
I’ve had way to many mistakes with this place to keep going back. This last mistake was the final straw with this place.I’ve had my order mixed up for the third time where I either got the wrong order all together or they forgot to add an additional paid item. The last time they screwed up, I had to wait almost an HOUR for a single order of phat thai. An hour! All I got was a sorry for the wait ha!
