The prices here are great and the amount of food you get was really nice. I went with the special pho and there was a multitude of meats in the bowl. I had never tried tripe before. And although I wasn't a fan, the rest of the meat and the broth was great so my non love of that didn't get in the way of enjoying the rest of the soup. They have a pretty broad menu so don't think it's only a Pho place.
It's as good as you can get in Hawaii. By saying that, it's because I'm from LA and we have very good pho. The noodles are very good, the egg rolls could be better. Service are friendly. The curry is good. This is one of the restaurants that open a bit later till 9pm. Over all, satisfying.
Really enjoyed our lunch here. We got the platter with chicken and pork, as well as a BBQ pork banh mi, spring rolls, a papaya smoothie and a Thai tea. Service was quick. Will be back
Tasty and the staff is very nice. They were kind enough to suggest something popular for someone who hasn't tried alot of Vietnamese food
This is one of the nicer Vietnamese restaurants in Chinatown. When I say nicer, it isn't fancy or up scale, rather very clean and spacious. A lot of the other restaurants tend to be cramped and have questionable food safety. They also have an extensive menu that is far broader then most of the Vietnamese restaurants that I have gone to that seem to just focus on the basic classics.Their sweet and sour catfish soup is impressive and 2 to 4 people could share it easily. It is loaded with lots of goodies and a great broth. They have a lot of items on their menu that are meant for sharing, so it is perfect for family style dinning.Although green papaya salad sounds very basic for a Vietnamese restaurant, they really load up the Thai basil on it which really kicks up the fresh aspect of the dish. I wouldn't call it the best I ever had, but defiantly close to it.They have everything from mild to wild, so I think anyone would find something they would like there. It is also nice that they have a liquor license, so you can have a beer with your meal which I think perfect with this kind of food.Tip for you, there is a municipal parking lot on Smith St. that you can access from Bereritania just after Nuuanu for cheep park about a block away.
This was my 1st Vietnamese food ever. It was so good, I think I'll start going once a week. Good service too.
Reasonable pho options and good appetizers too.I get the pho combination and ask for cooked bean sprouts also meat outside. The nem nuong appetizer is tasty and delicious and filled from end to end.Chicken salad, chicken breast meat on dry side but dressing is light and refreshing with a little bit of that vinegar taste to leave u wanting more. The platter comes with steak, paté, egg, pork loaf and Bahn mi baguette for u to dip. Comes on a sizzling hot skillet for you to keep the dish piping hot.
Pho is a really good and better than the other restaurants in town. Try their bun dau mam tom ?
Highest rated because the food is the best. Best spicy beef soup I’ve had. Most authentic. A level above the rest. The question is if it’s worth going to disgusting Chinatown for.The problem is the service. Would be five stars if not for the service. It seems they have no system. Two more people came to take my order after I’d already ordered. After I’d finished they let me just sit there for half an hour. I get up to pay and ask for a box and am ignored.
The pho was so flavorful!!! We ordered the vegan and chicken pho. The spring rolls were so crunchy and not too greasy. Would definitely come here again and again.
