This restaurant is a 15-20 minute walk from Waikiki beach and well worth it for the food. The vegetable spring rolls were the best we have ever had! There were several vegetarian options on the menu. The tofu banh mi was delicious. The tofu was very well flavored and the baguette and vegetable toppings were fresh. I asked for no mayonnaise on the banh mi and the request was accommodated without issue. When we arrived for an early lunch there were several tables open but they were almost all filled by the time we left.
Seriously amazingly good food. The subtly rich flavours of the beef pho, and mildly sour depth of the sweet & sour catfish soup (canh chua ca bong lau; mildly sour to me, that is), with its slices of young taro stem and other vegetables in the big bowl of broth with the tender hunk of fish, were outstanding.I really loved that Vietnamese soup, and would like it even more sour next time. The restaurant is cold inside (bring a jacket if you’re apt to take chill), and gets busy at weekend lunches.A winner, hands down.
The food was great and the waitress is great I love the food it is good for you guys and you can eat here and too many times to go to eat fish and pho yummy fish fish tacos are good too lol but
We were looking for a “gem” near Waikiki and we found it! This little gem was about a mile from Waikiki beach and served excellent Vietnamese food. Despite the outside, the inside was air conditioned, modern, and super clean . The food took a tad long to get to our table, but they were understaffed so we didn’t mind it. The food was tasty and fresh. We got a rice dish ,Bun Cha , two Banh Mi, and desserts (che). The way they marinated the meat for for both made the walk worth it, completely. If you’ve never had che, the dessert drinks, please try them because they’re a great blend of coconut milk and beans , think of them as bubble tea’s cousins. Sometimes you don’t need a loud and polished chain restaurant, sometimes you just need a solid and good meal from warm people who reminds you a little bit of home when you’re away from home.
My "Go To" for Pho and Vietnamese food when in Honolulu.I have eaten at many Pho restaurants over the years and this place is one of the top 2 places I have been to. The soup is amazing! All the food is extremely fresh! The lady, Thu is very nice and friendly. Every time I stay in Honolulu, Pho Old Saigon is a “must”. I highly recommend!
I loved this place. All the food was extremely fresh, the herbs were nice and had lots of taste, pho broth was really pure, even the shake I had was carefully and craft fully prepared. Service also really good!
Seriously the best Vietnamese place out of dozens of places my fiancee and I have tried. The owners are so nice, and the food is high quality compared to the affordable cost. Would recommend ordering the vermicelli salad or the banh mi (:
Amazing, authentic Vietnamese food from the mother land!! Everything is seasoned just right! Fast service and the ladies are so nice!! This is as good as it gets for Vietnamese food!
