I read past reviews of dining at Pesca Waikiki top of Ilikai the good and bad reviews. Though it is pricey for me, itâs something worth doing on my 11th wedding anniversary and believe me everything went as expected. We enjoyed the scenic view of Diamond Head, surf spots we usually surf at (had surf), the service, atmosphere and of course the meal. I got the sea food tower, grilled tako, garlic rice, ahi sashimi, veggie chips tower and oysters on a half shell. I guess we were the lucky ones as the food was prepared and tasted great. Iâm not the kind of person thatâll pay for unnecessary things, but this was something meaningful to remember.
Nice restaurant. However, the noise level in the area we sat in was terrible. Couldn't speak to other party at table without yelling. The waiters also added to the noise when announcing specials, etc. From our experience, I'd recommend planning on staying there 3-hours and be with a conversationalist as there is a long gap between appetizers/salad and the main course. The food is okay for the price. However, you make up the difference by purchasing more drinks than planned due to the long delay till the main course is brought to the table. We had to ask the waiter for take-out boxes because our pumpkin carriage was waiting and we couldn't stay longer. FRIDAY: They turn off the lights for Waikiki fireworks. Of course, our main course was delivered minutes before the lights went out. Suggest they have candles on each table so that those who want to eat through the fireworks display can do so and not sit in the dark while the main course gets cold.

Great service, food, views. Excellent value.
Slow service. Lunch menu very limited. Food was very good except for the fish chowder which was awful - watery and lacked flavor.
The service, ambiance, and sunset views are unequaled. Loved the International Violette and Mai Tai drinks. The 6 pieces of ahi sashimi were cut thick. All seafood was fresh, and they presented each fish on ice. We chose the Madai (Tai), acqua pazza (poached) style. The final prep is done tableside. We also enjoyed the filet mignon and mixed vegetables. Server Paul was professional as well as the many helpers. They gave our special occasion that extra touch.
The view was spectacular. The service was impeccable. The food was mediocre and horribly overpriced. Go to breakfast or lunch- probably better food selection, quality and price.
Fantastic evening overall and the service was absolutely perfect from the minute we arrived. Beautiful views around Waikiki and the Friday fireworks were just a bonus! Thanks you!
Yummy food, esp the Dungeness crab and grilled fish! Nice view and excellent service
Had just arrived at hotel where restaurant located after full day of travel. Beautiful view from 30th floor but not into their fish style of service. You buy a whole fish to be prepared. We split a ribeye that was over cooked not medium rare. Perhaps our fault for ordering beef not fish but Itâs on the menu should know how to prepare. Everything is a la carte. Would not recommend.
