The food is good but there is no hospitality. As a paying customer you should have access to the restroom, however, I was denied and I was told they are not allowed to let customers use the restroom. I was baffled by this, as a tourist I might be unaware of the local rules, but as someone who has gone into many restaurants and have had to use the restroom on occasion, this felt strange. Not only did they not have a restroom to use, but no suggestions on where to go. Please be prepared, you will be out of luck.
If you haven't gone to Ocean Taste yet, you should put it at the top of your "need to go" list as soon as possible. I was told by a friend that this was their go-to restaurant for poke bowls, so they sent me here on their advice. It wasn't too far from the highway, so getting there wasn't a problem at all. In addition, there is a parking area just outside the entrance. The fish that had been roasted with garlic was just excellent.
The best poke in town! Their ingredients so fresh and menu is so creative. Worth every penny.
I don’t live here but I come to Oahu often and this place hands down has my most favorite sushi bowl on the island. It’s a bit pricy but soooo worth it considering how fresh the fish is here. I haven’t tried anything else, but my friends love their other items too.
January 2022:Stumbled upon this little place while walking around the area. Was craving poke and tried the Hawaiian style ahi poke. Also tried the salmon toro nigiri. Both were really good. Prices are rather reasonable. But the food and quality seems to be above what you would get elsewhere ??.I enjoyed the poke. There was a lot of ginger in the sauce. I was surprised because they also have an Island Ginger Ahi poke... Wonder how much more ginger is in that dish ?.Overall, I would definitely come back again if I was in the area!
Fantastic Hawaiian style poke. Fresh, delicious, and just the perfect amount of spice/kick. Great prices as well.
Torched garlic salmon was buttery and delicious!
One of the best poke bowls that you can taste on Oahu
I love their fresh ingredients on the bowls except for Uni= sea urchin... which is really bummer... they said it's from Santa Barbara but every time uni taste so fishy and weirdly bitter....?too too bad because everything else is great. I'm gonna have to let them know no uni when I go there next time.
Absolutely wonderful poke bowls. A bit pricey, but personally my gf and I thought the flavors were worth it. Super fresh fish, great balance of ingredients. Also good service and overall stall appearance!Located inside Ohana Hale, near the middle.
