best ramen on the island.
Oh my goodness I finally found a place in Oahu that has both meat eater ramen and about six different vegetarian/vegan options. Not only that the vegetarian options were great! I really liked the one with the shoyu broth and then I got the black garlic on the side to add to taste. The noodles were great as well. We also got edamame and garlic fried rice which you were both good as well. Thank you so much for letting us vegetarians have a great meal ?
Noods Ramen Bar has a variety of ramen options, including vegan options. I had the Tan Tan Men ramen. It was tasty. Also, the staff was friendly.
Food is TASTY. Customer service is EXCEPTIONAL. everything is a VIBE. can’t wait to return AND they also have ono Vegan options I got the vegan Black garlic miso ramen with green onions and garlic chips Super tasty!12/10 would recommend:)
Various cool decorations in the restaurant. The broth was salty and the cha siu pork was very hard (expecting it to be softer). The soft egg was perfect but cold.
Ordered (online for pickup) Tsukemen (first time), The broth had a good flavor. The second item ordered was the Truffle Shoyu Ramen. This also had good flavor, but the single piece of chashu pork was all fat (maybe it added flavor, but was unable to eat it).Give yourself extra time to look for parking (most parking is on side streets).
With the high ratings and the hype, I was really looking forward to trying Noods, but ultimately the experiences fell flat. I should preface by saying that we’ve been searching for Oahu’s best ramen since moving here from Japan, so the bar is definitely high. The hostess was very kind, and the service was quick, but the food itself left a quite a bit to be desired. First, aside from being very bland, the meat in my bowl was still room temperature, if not a little chilly. The soup itself was also not very warm. The noodles themselves seemed to be good quality, which seems like a must if it’s the name of your restaurant. The soup is the soul of the bowl, and unfortunately it was pretty lifeless to me. Good, but definitely not great. We got both the tonkatsu and the black garlic tonkatsu, and both left something to be desired… like robust, memorable flavor. The black garlic almost just tasted burnt/charred, so the regular tonkatsu was the more enjoyable of the two. The goyoza was also nothing special, unfortunately. Three stars instead of four, because a 4.6 is much too high a rating for this forgettable ramen. Again, excellent service and a very clean and lovely environment though! Wish I could rate it higher.
Amazing little hideaway, super popular and usually pretty busy. Ramen here is amazing, with a great vibe and friendly staff.
Tried the vegan black garlic miso ramen, being the first time I tried black garlic - loved the flavor and the spice level. They have a lot of vegan options which I love. Gotta try em all!
VEGAN BLACK GARLIC TONKATSU is the best vegan ramen I’ve ever had. And I’ve tried them all over the place. The meaty shiitakes, perfectly powerful black garlic and perfectly chewy noodles. DOUBLE SHAKAS from me guys ?????
