This Mexico eatery servers very authentic Mexican food and the staffs are also friendly! The portion is good and a free basket of Taco , great Salsa source. Highly recommended the combo plate! Just one thing to note that this restaurant is located right across from a famous Hawaii food restaurant, few parking lots
My wife and I went in on 05/30 in the evening to get some food. We were seated and were brought chips and salsa right away. After that, everything went downhill. After waiting for more than 15 minutes and watching the customers that came in after us get waited on, I finally had to ask a waitress for service. Even then we did not feel welcomed. Not sure if it was because we were the only Mexicans in the restaurant, but it sure felt like we were being discriminated against. With that said, we did get our food and it was decent but a bit pricey for the quality. Also, the decor of the restaurant was overkill. It seemed like they were trying way too hard to make it authentic Mexican. During our visit to O'ahu, we had the opportunity to eat at many places and would recommend almost all of them. This on the other hand is one I would advise to stay away from.
We started off going to Helena's Hawaiian Foods but it was such along wait and we were heading to Pearl Harbor and we accidentally saw Mexico Restaurant across the street. We decided to give it a try and were glad we did. The guys had Chimichangas that were huge and my girlfriend and I had salad in crispy tortilla bowls. All the portions were large and filling and super delicious. We could barely move afterwards but we were stubborn to finish everything off. If you want good food made fresh and served hot, this is the place to go. I usually avoid mexican food since everything because it comes with beans and spanish rice which I do not like but here I had a choice of a few dishes that were good and couldn't decide. So glad I got the taco salad with the special pork.
Best Cinco DeMayo in a while great service and a welcoming atmosphere. Just a great mahalo
One thing I don’t like about these surveys is the neglect to have selections that refer to the the staff and that can make or break a place. A restaurant may have great food but if the people presenting it don’t reflect the quality it will never survive. Our server was a Doll and made the visit. I’ll be back.

I was lucky and came in during a slow time. My waitress took very good care of me and made sure to check on me regularly. The food was soo good!!! And big plate and portions, so price was worth it.
Service was excellent 5 stars. My 4 star review was just based on the good service alone.Visited Mexico Restaurant for dinner. They have their own parking lot but if you can't find parking , you can also park on school street during dinnertime hours. The decor outside and inside is cute and "Mexican" themed.As soon as we sat down, the server brought chips and salsa.I had been recommended this place by 2 different friends/parties so went in with high expectations.I wasn't very impressed with the food taste. The chips and salsa (although complimentary) we're not that tasty - chips were not super crispy, salsa was kind of bland.The menu is extensive, lots of options to choose from. My friend ordered fajitas plate and I had a veggie wrap plate. Both portions were generous.However I was not impressed with the food taste. The blandness or lack of flavor was kind of astonishing . I probably will not be back as I prefer more flavors /flavorful Mexican food.But again, the service was excellent and for that alone my rating stands at 4 stars .
We love coming here. The food is awesome and the atmosphere festive. The service is always good and responsive. Give it a try. They also do take out orders. The parking is tight but that should not stop you. This is a great place to bring large groups for either lunch or dinner.
Googled few Mexican restaurants n so glad to have found this little nook. My son n I went there for his birthday dinner last night. Cool place with beautiful Mexican style decor atmosphere. Food was fresh, well seasoned, delicious n made well to my specification! Price was good n generous portions. My son loved his large burrito entree n i loved my chicken enchiladas. Our server, Juan was wonderful! He listened to our order specifications well n was very pleasant the whole time he served us.We'll definitely be back again when we get some Mexican food cravings
