When I first tried this place I thought it was absolutely amazing, tastes like Mexico. A couple more times it was stil awesome. But then a couple times it wasn't, and that lack of consistency is very annoying, esp. when you go with friends and tell them how amazing it is. Also I read the reviews about people getting sick and I'm not too surprised. The old guy running the tiny truck is super nice, but.. it's a tiny truck the size of a gas station bathroom, and he's just one guy doing everything, of course he touches the money and then the food! lol.
I liked his salsa. The carne asada was a little bit toasted but still good. I would come back someday
Quality authentic Mexican food. Home made guacamole and salsas. Smoked Chipotle is out of this world.
Best tacos on the island. Couldn't recommend more. Very delicious
UPDATE: the audacity for the owner to reply and tell me that it’s because I didn’t wash my hands before eating. FYI, I did wash my hands, I would think a lot of people always wash their hands before eating. Buh-bye.Although everything looked fresh and presentable and initially tasted delicious, I got food poisoning immediately after eating the tacos he made. My stomach pain was so bad I couldn’t sleep… Over priced and extremely tiny portions. He wasn’t too friendly to me but very nice to other customers. He only accepts cash. I’ve been wanting to check this place out for a while from reading the high reviews but unfortunately it wasn’t what I expected. I wish I didn’t have such a bad experience because I’m in search of authentic Mexican food on this island!

Let us be honest! I am from Mexico City and I know what a good taco taste like, carnitas a little salty, steak or carne asada too dry, salsas needed a bit more seasoning or garlic and I understand he’s got great reviews from eaters (not to offend anyone) but they don’t know the Mex’s flavor, in San Francisco, Seattle, Los Angeles, Texas you can find much much better tacos. His tacos are good for the people who don’t know!!!!
i’m so happy i found this place !! first off the food is amazingggg. if you want fresh authentic mexican food, this is the spot!!! the wait is completely reasonable because the man is working all by himself ! I got chicken quesadillas and the tortilla was perfectly toasted on the outside i don’t even know how to explain but I had to come back for more ??☺️
It was obvious from the moment I walked up with the display laid out with fresh salsas that the food was going to be ligit. I was recommended this little stand from a friend and I’ve been looking forward to finally trying the food. My pet peeve with tacos is when they don’t make the tortillas hot enough. Well that was not the case. Every ingredient is thought out. Everything was hot to include the salsa. I am happy to see a place that doesn’t hold back on true authentic Mexican flavors. I highly recommend this little gem. The tacos and carne asada burrito were delicious and I will definitely be back. Thank you for taking pride in your food and sharing with us these favorable tacos.
