They may have been great before, but when I went all they had were beef, bean & cheese, and potato empanadas. There were no rice or sandwich options. The guy said they no longer make Arepas. The price on each little empanada has gone up to $4 each. I guess the empanadas are ok-tasting, but nothing close to what I expected or had hoped for.

Man... I really would love to give a better rating for this truck. Read review and walked to the truck - ordered the beef and cheese & the chicken empanadas... $ 4 a piece. Super dry dough. Filling is good but nothing like what we had at other places across the US and S. America... We asked for the red dipping sauce and got the green! Nice guy so an extra star for that. Otherwise, a 1 star :(

I love empanadas … more than #gyoza. (Go ahead and prosecute me, my fellow Japanese foodies)But I haven’t had them since I developed some weird reaction to wheat. I am not celiac but gluten makes me swollen and arthritic.My 9 year old had pizza empanadas and three cheese. I had beef and potato GF empanada. Their green sauce was so flavorful and not too spicy.This is the perfect #beachmeal in Waikiki. (There are so many #foodtrucks in this alley. This is so #yatai and I love it! )

The best place to eat in Waikiki. Alex is my #1 chef in Honolulu Hawaii! He makes the best empanadas in the world! No kidding! I order family size all the times! Price is great!
very friendly guy! Quick service and the food is fresh and home-made style. Authentic and delicious! If you like latino food or just love some good Colombian food then this place is for sure for you. I love empanadas
Absolutely delicious. Be aware that the menu has changed a bit so each empeñada is $3 each but you can mix and match them. They are hot, fresh, savory and their hot salsa and garlic sauce takes it over the top. Staff is friendly and helpful.They don't have any arepas, hot dogs or Cubano sandwiches any longer but that's ok because the empenada is all you need!!
Seriously? We tried 3 different ones. Cheeseburger was way too greasy and the other two had very little flavour. Plus they are small considering the $3 cost. We love great food and some of the food trucks can be delicious … but not this one. They deserve nothing more than a two.
Only my own mom makes better empanadas. Make sure you get the menu in the morning and place your order for the evening.
