Line was short and quick. The coffee was about the same as we've gotten anywhere else here, good but nothing crazy special. The pastries ??? the spinach cheese one was so good! The guava malasada was soooo yummy. And the danishes! Definitely worth trying.
I live here and drive for this amazing coffee and breakfast sandwiches. Also super delirious fresh pastries! And fudge. Definitely best coffee shop on the island.
We had the chocolate croissant and strawberry/cream cheese Danish and 2 cold brews, very good food for a quick cheap breakfast
While staying at the Aston Waikiki beach hotel, I had Door dash from Maleko's to get some Malasalda's (portugese donuts) I got guava filled, coconut filled, custard filled and plain. They were quick, fresh and worth the money, a little pricey for a donut but well worth it !
Malasadas are good but the ham breakfast sandwich I got had a big spot of mold under the bread
So so experience. Malasadas tasted similar to glazed donuts filled with either custard, mango, or guava(ordered all three flavors). The kale, cheese crossiant was flat and very light. The drip coffee was decent.
Excellent pastries and coffee. Very reasonably priced. Great service! We will miss this place when we leave Hawaii
We tried this place due to the recommendations of other guest at the hotel we are staying at. The coffee was subpar. The malasadas were not light, airy, or fresh tasting. Many flavors are listed on the menu, but only custard and mango were available. My husband ordered a caramel macchiato. He asked for one shot to find out it was pure milk. The owner said, one shot is pure milk. My husband asked for another shot and paid for it with no complaints it was our misunderstanding. We may not be coffee gurus, but I thought it was condescending how the owner spoke to us. Simply from our experience, we are not asked that on the mainland when ordering coffee. We pitched everything a block away. Even my latte was 2/3 foam and 1/3 coffee. I enjoy going to places where owners want to educate you and be kind about their product. We should have stayed at the Hale Koa or went to another place with all different available malasadas.
Needed a walking destination this am and read good reviews on TripAdvisor so off I went. The coffee and malasada (filled with a mango filling) was worth the walk. Quite little place and great service. I was sad to learn that they were no longer offering pizzas in the evening as the owner had recently had a stroke.
Terrible experience with this shop. I ordered a croissant sandwich, a bearclaw, and a caramel frap through doordash. The egg in the sandwich had a big eggshell in it and I tried to let that go and bit into it a second time but I just bit into more smaller eggshell pieces. Threw the sandwich away right then and there. The croissant part of the sandwich and the bear claw were both stale and just didn’t taste good. And the caramel frap tasted like straight up whey protein powder. Even the caramel syrup wasn’t good and I could only stomach a third of it. I hate that I paid for this, and now I have to order food from a different place since I couldn’t eat the food from here.
