We Felt ignored from the moment we set foot in the restaurant. Granted it was a relatively busy Saturday night, with multiple large parties- but anything i wanted i had to get myself (took clean plates off other tables because none was offered to us, no drinks were offered to us just water, took napkins off other tables) took 20 minutes to come take our order, nothing was explained to us they just took our order placed it down and didnt hear from anyone after. I asked another waiter i finally flagged down for my bill. We Felt uncared for and unwanted. Left hungry and a little sad because i really wanted a good dinner experience while on vacation.
Was recommended Legends from a friend so we tried it for Dinner on a Friday evening. We arrived early 515pm and the place was nearly empty except for 1 other table. Seated immediately. Service was excellent and the waitress helped us avoid over ordering because the dishes are family size. Food was very good though we all agreed the Hot & Sour soup was too peppery. Complimentary hot tea was excellent. As we were finishing up around 630pm, the place was starting to get really busy with some large groups coming in. After reading the other reviews, it appears consistent. Parking was validated for us but even if you pay it is cheap to park (2 dollars). I would be weary of the "vegetarian" options as my daughter ordered the Mo Pa Tofu but had a brown sauce with pieces of pork in it. Was excellent but not if you really wanted vegetarian.
Was recommended to come here for Dim-Sum and I was not disappointed. I had the soup Dim-Sum with the red vinegar sauce and it was the best I've ever had. The ladies were so nice and hospitable even though I came in late and by myself.
it was a sunday nite and all the tables were in use, the large round tables by large groups. complete party atmosphere, I dont think that is but there are about 10+ large round tables of about 9-10 people. wait staff was running everywhere. We had a table for 2 off to the side and were pretty much ignored. Food quantities are huge. Our sweet n sour pork chop was on a platter that held about 4-5 normal sized pork chops. The "fried rice" bowl would have served 5-8 people. I dont know what my order was since i ordered a chicken dish and i got a platter of broccoli and jumbo shrimp, squid, octopus, mushrooms and a few seafood items i could not identify. Believing it was a vegetable platter we began to munch away. It took us awhile to realize that the waiter goofed up on my order in the chaos. So i dont know what it was. It was hard to hear the waitstaff over the din. The menu was extensive but very terse. It was difficult to identify anything other than by the generic id: Chicken, Pork, Beef. Duck etc. There was translations into Chinese available. We took home enough leftovers to eat for 3 more meals. Food was excellent. Service was zero or worse. Prices very decent for the quantity of food. I would like to give them another chance when they are not overrun. Parking is in the building for the Chinese Cultural Center, tickets can be validated. Our bill for the evening was not readable. The original order tab was in chinese, and the register tab was so faint it could not be read. For two large main dishes and a huge bowl of re-fried rice our bill was $51.
Visited here twice. Once for dinner and once for dim sum. The dinner i had was okayish, but the dim sum was absolutely delicious. Must visit for dim sum here! The experience is also great, traditional style with the carts driving around and you can point and pick.
this is my favorite dim sum restaurant, i always look forward to coming to honolulu so i can grab food from here! so mwny different options for dishes and everyone here is super nice and quick to bring carts around. definitely check this place out if you’re in the mood for dim sum!
Fast paced dim sum with great quality. Servers made regular rounds and food was always available. Anyone looking for good dim sum without breaking bank should go here.
My friends and I stopped by here for lunch while walking through Chinatown. The staff was so nice and featured great food. This is definitely a place for authentic Chinese food.
If you want an authentic dim sum experience, this is the place. Food is so good and the staff walks around with carts filled with goodness. I have been coming to this place over 12 years and it’s always spot on!
A genuine Chinese experience with fabulous dim sum and noodle platters. Served on carts that parade through the tables, it's a fun way to lunch. Located in Honolulu Chinese Cultural Center, there is a convenient parking garage that makes the visit easy and a must do when you are in the islands!
