Chinese restaurant along Kapiolani Avenue. The food is good but a little highly priced, we ordered the roasted pigeon and fried rice along with a bitter melon and beef stir fry. The garlic steamed oysters were delicious as well.I think due to the language barrier there was miscommunication and we weren't served one of our steamed fish dishes. All in all a good restaurant but be prepared to pay a high price tag on some of the foods.
Over all a good experience. Definitely would recommend. Coming from a picky eater because I grew up eating great food and am a cook myself. Food was over all good except for the vegetables dish (Ong Chai) was a bit hard. I think the noodles could have used a little bit more soy, was a bit toward bland side, I got some sharp tongue kids too, they thought it was a bit bland too. Service could have been better. Maybe because we try skipping the dinner crowd and it was also the worker’s dinner time. I think they realized they were a bit lacking in that aspect and try making up for it afterwards. I appreciated that. I would recommend this place for anyone interested in good chinese food. Over all a good experience!
Food is absolutely delicious! Every dish is exactly how it should taste - coming from a Chicago Chinese native. The service here is also amazing. Servers are very kind and attentive. We chose to eat here twice during our stay in Hawaii, that's how good it is! I will be coming back when I return to Hawaii!
EXCELLENT Chinese cuisine, Great Service and Reasonably priced( yes, even for Honolulu.) We ordered clams in black bean sauce, crispy fried noodles with seafood, salt pepper pork chops -all dishes were SO GOOD! The service was thoughtful and super FRIENDLY . We saw many locals and thought IT MUST BE GOOD- we were right!! Must go , must come and must return.
Good 1st visit. Honey walnut shrimp was very tasty. Duck leftovers - this duck was big and yes I know ducks are not all the same size - were also good the next day. Parking was available in the back. Only negative thing was it smelled bad outside the front door but inside the restaurant was fine and very clean. There will be a 2nd visit.
Authentic Cantonese food.Beef chow fun is great ?The complementary dessert red bean soup is also good, it's a little bit too sweet for me, but it's still good ?
Called ahead of time to get a table and was told no need to reserve a table. After walking in, we were told it would take a hour to get our food, and we were ok with that. Shortly after we were told they couldn't get us a table for another 40 min, it was clear at that point they didn't want to sit us.
Looking for Chinese? This is a “must try”…really a “must do”. Great food excellent service. So many selections couldn’t try them all…maybe someday.Highly recommend
Very authentic Cantonese food. Seafood was so fresh and delicious. Generous portions. Staff was nice. Entrance to parking lot is on Makaloa St.
Awesome Cantonese /Chinese food restaurant! The service is above and beyond to outstanding in a Chinese restaurant. Recommended the grilled quail and the clay pot category, super delicious.
