This sushi restaurant is Omakase only. Good sake, pricey but totally worth trying! My boyfriend loved it.

Food and service are the best!!! There was no menu. You can order Omakase which the chef will make your dinner based on his choices, and you can call it when you full. Price is around $150+ for a very full stomach. Would recommend!!!

The worst meal at Honolulu for our one month stay.No price list for anything: Saki or food. So we went to the liquor store got a bottle of white wine.Ordering choice is everything ( appetizer, sashimi & sushi) or just sushi. I ordered the everything which is a big mistake. Sashimi is terrible: piled with a lot of raw slice onions on small pieces of tuna with some avocado/hot pepper. Appetizer is a small cold abalone with some vegetables. Nothing tasted good but they almost filled me up. Sushi were good. After 4 pieces, I was full. Told them to give me a uni sushi & a miso soup. Our bill was $260 for 2 people without liquor. They charged $15 for a small cup of tofu miso soup. $20 for one piece of Santa Barbara uni sushi. They are much more expensive than other sushi places in town. (Sushi Sasabune or Sushi Izakaya Gaku). Since there is no price list for anything, wondering if they overcharged us. Their sashimi & appetizers are terrible, sushi is good but everything is way overpriced. That is why this is the worst dining experience we had at Honolulu.

Owned by the same couple for 29 years, this place is a truly special experience. Husband serves up beautiful plates behind the sushi counter while his attentive and friendly wife serves you up front. Everything Chef made was amazing and the sake was a perfect accompaniment. Highly recommend this place. Oh and it is OMAKASE, very important to know lol

Expect to spend a pretty penny here, but it was totally worth it. Very small but charming place. Make sure you make reservations. They don’t accept walk-ins. Sake was excellent. The chef (and his wife(?) who was the server were both so sweet and friendly! We enjoyed talking with him and seeing old photos.

Absolutely spectacular in every way. A highly anticipated dining experience that lives up to the highest standards.

I thoroughly enjoyed the pieces we received from the omakase. Each piece tasted very fresh, and I especially loved how unique some of the pieces were. Like the ikura with the small egg yolk or the addition of kiwi with the ahi. Each piece was a new experience in my mouth lol! Honestly, my review really doesn’t do justice to the food experience we’ve had at Kin Chan. It was arguably one of the best omakase I had in Oahu.I will have to warn you though to be prepared to pay $$$$, but I can say with certainty that it was worth it.

The sushi was excellent and the staff were very kind and attentive. I'll be back next time I'm on the island.

Very delicious ? taste just like from Japan ??Love it so muchWe spend $200/person
