Delicious dinner at Karai Crab, the waitstaff were kind, informative and prompt. We had a party of 10 people, 3 of which were picky kids.We had appetizers of cheesy bread, edamame, cioppino, calamari and miso clams. The flavors were off the chain. Everything was light, seasoned well, and came out piping hot.Our mains were snow combo (snow crab clusters, clams and shrimp) in a butter garlic sauce. Snow crab clusters with Cajun seasoning and garlic butter, sautéed noodles were amazing as well.Everything we had was delicious, fresh, hot and cooked perfectly. They had a robust drink menu as well and the drinks were tasty. The outside was unassuming, but super cute decor and cheerful. If you are in Honolulu and decide to go off the beaten path Karai Crab is worth the visit.

The food was amazing. We got “The Kraken” for 3 people and had leftovers. The value was well worth the price. We originally were trying to go to a seafood buffet so we came hungry (but there was a mix up with the other restaurant). My husband doesn’t eat seafood and had the garlic bread, garlic fries (the best ever) and the macaroni salad. The mac salad sucks, it needs more mayo/flavor.My 4 stars has to do with the service. Food taken without being offered a box/ they took my leftovers. We had to ask repeatedly for refills for water/diet. Asked for cocktail sauce and didn’t receive until we had 1 shrimp left.

Jun 2022. 5 minute drive from west Waikiki We ordered off the regular (non-boiled) menu and the food was great! Each entrée averaged around $20 and was well worth it. I got the Ciapotta (sp?) seafood stew. I couldn't finish it myself because of all the fresh seafood goodness! LOTS of seafood in this one including several snow crab legs. My son got the seafood pasta and more of the same! My wife got the garlic noodles which is the cheapest thing on the menu and just raved about it. It had no protein but between the rest of us we kept her well fed. Service was fantastic with lots of attention from wait staff and owner. We avoided the boiled dishes as we are Cajun veterans who can do this as good or better than other restaurants and they are on the expensive side. Parking: We went after 6pm on a Wednesday and didn't have any problem finding parking. Right next door is small lot where you pay $3 in cash for unlimited parking that night. The owner also said there is also a parking garage extremely close and the restaurant validates parking there.

I've been wanting to eat king crab since the first time I saw an episode of deadliest catch. The manager said I was the cleanest person he's ever seen eating crab legs lol. I didn't want to make a big mess so I was slow and careful cracking my shells and digging out the well seasoned crab meat. I went with the karai special seasoning with some habanero on the side. Mix of the two I felt was perfect but I like some kick to my seasoning. The cheesy bread appetizer was delicious as well. I got a mango flavored iced tea to wash it all down. All in all it was well worth the half mile walk from work along with the walk back. They did say that there is parking on their block I can use next time I go by. A little pricey but I've spent more on a meal by myself and this one definitely met my expectations for what I paid.

Absolutely adored our food (crab legs, shrimp, and catfish). You get to pick your boil flavor and heat level- obsessed! Best meal we’ve had in Hawaii. Absolutely loved it. Service was excellent and restaurant clean. EAT HERE!

Great food and the servers were very attentive. The Garlic noodles were amazing and so was the seafood. Definitely get the cheese bread to dip in the extra sauce. Its not a huge spot and you for sure need reservations. Not a cheap night out but for the food quality we felt it was worth it.

Was craving seafood and this hit the spot. Ordered the garlic noodles, snow crab legs, clams & garlic shrimp. Top win was the shrimps. The sauce definitely be killer on wings too. We could have ordered 4 of those & be happy. Not to knock any of the other dishes because they were just as delicious. Shrimp was on another level. To make it even better, the service was on point. Friendly & attentative.

The garlic noodles were sooo good and were my sisters favorite thing she had on the trip! The spice levels are SPICY I'm a spice lover and their 2nd spice lover was even a little much for me. Our waitress was very kind and took it back so they could boil some of the spice off. We got their signature sauce but ended up liking our friends sauce more, the Ginger-Scallion Pesto. It had more flavor and zing to it that went really well with the crab.

Karai Crab was awesome. The Karai wings were crunchy and seasoned perfectly. The fries were cooked just right with a crunch. My wife loved the shrimp and chicken. Food came out 7 minutes after ordering and my drink never went empty and I got 8 refills. Amazing service and food.

Great food. Servers were nice and made good recommendations. Will definitely go again and have recommended it to friends.
