Ate their a couple of times. Food was good but it's a bit rundown these days. No real ambiance and the bathroom is suspect at best. Good and friendly service but needs staffing and renovations.
Bad customer service. Ordered just the tonkatsu plate but when time comes to pick up, They made the tonkatsu curry. When ordering we never said curry, just tonkatsu. They made us pay for it anyways and said that our reception on the phone was bad. Never ordering from them again.
Growing up in Hawaii, Kam Bowl restaurant was always known for their delicious Oxtail Soup. I wanted to take my family here to see if the experience I had when I was young was the same. The restaurant is a little outdated but we don't mind that. We were here for the service and the food. We got the small Oxtail Soup, Loco Moco, Cheeseburger w/Fries, and Gyoza. The food was amazing! We enjoyed our lunch. Our waitress was really amazing too. The workers are so friendly. My family had a great experience. When we went outside to rate everything, we all agreed we couldn't go below a 5 star.I'm sure people might not like that it's outdated but I'm there for the service and food. It's an older restaurant that's been here for decades. The restaurant was still clean. This will be one of the places that I will miss when we move to the Mainland.
The restaurant was crowded for a Saturday evening. 7:45pm. I ordered the oxtail soup & it was just like Grandma used to make. Excellent service. Our server was very welcoming. Thank you.
food was really onos and prices very reasonable .....oxtail soup and fried rice is second to none..my mama luvs da eggs benedict...
Arrived here for lunch following Google reviews and it was a good choice. There was no wait time to sit down after getting Vax cards and temperature checks.Ordered the garlic shrimp with Mac salad, fried rice as add on and the oyako don. Both the dishes were usual taste and flavor as expected, but they were greasy than my liking. This is a restaurant for comfort food and a safe option.
We were on our way to Polynesian Cultural Center but haven’t left Honolulu yet. We were driving and saw this restaurant and it was the best brunch I had in Hawai’i. I highly recommend it. Love it!
Make sure you have your Vax card and ID!! Nice location, spacious seating. Once we were seated, we were given complementary water but we're not offered drinks. Food was ok. My wife said her Salmon wasn't seasoned. She used the Asian salad dressing from her side salad to give it a better taste. My fried rice was pretty good. I did have to pay $3 to add shrimp. Probably won't go back
Great Menu Selection….Fast & Great Service! Ox-tail Was So Ono!
Did not come here for years. We had Kauai garlic shrimp. And oxtail Soup. Both taste very good. I would wish the shrimp to be deveined, more appetizing and easier to peel. The place did not change, need renovation soon. Wear and tear of chairs, tables and carpet are noticeable. We appreciate our waitress, Sheryll, she is very friendly, nice, attentive and fast!
