Country fried steak was awesome. Mushroom gravy, potatos and green beans.
We were shopping at the BX at lunch time and decided to visit the food court and I selected the I Love Country and ordered take-out. This venue offers what they call “comfort food”. They offer breakfast all day and offer anything from eggplant lasagna, roasted Filipino pork, fish dishes, to fried rice, butter shrimp, garlic chicken, wraps and waffles. I mistakenly ordered the garlic chicken but asked them to switch it to buttered shrimp because it was Friday and Catholics are not allowed to meet on Fridays during Lent. I was there during lunch and had to wait for my original order and then wait again to correct my mistaken order. I ordered take-out and when I arrived home there was adequate number of shrimps served on a bed of brown rice (my choice) and a small side of macaroni salad. The food was decent for a food mall setting. The ladies behind the counter did not seem happy with me for changing the order. You don't have to be military to eat at the food court.
Big breakfast? Fried rice? $35 bucks? Waste of my time and money! Never coming back to this place. Did I mention it doesn’t taste good? Come on..
Every time we’ve gone in to eat,e have always been treated like family. The food is delicious and service is amazing! We are regulars again since things are opening back up.
Lots of variety and choices...although nothing stood out as being spectacular. Weird that there was bits of chopped potatoes in my adobo fried rice omelet. i've definitely had better elsewhere but for a food court concession it was ok! Not bad! The country fries was a little over cooked but it was well seasoned! Good portions! i ate 3/4 od my plate and i was stuffed!
Delicious food, truly delicious, but the customer service is pretty bad. The wait is long almost every time even in the non-rush hours and the communication between cashier and kitchen staff is pretty much nonexistent. When you order you risk them not even passing your order back or passing it back, it’s completed, but nobody is up front to give it to you so your ticket just sits there with your food.If you have time to wait, it’s definitely worth it, but don’t rely on it if you are trying to be in and out of the NEX.
Don't waste your money and would give no stars if that was an option. They put corn in the Halo Halo and jello instead of the normal red beans and jellies. So gross. The lechon kawali was barely cooked and was gummy and near raw. Again super gross.
Most variety of all the food places at the NEX with great local meals!
Crispy Furukake Fish on vegetables with brown rice yum yum it was crowded on Saturday and they were busy but didnt wait long.
Ordered a Chicken Katsa from here. To be honest, it looks good but doesn't taste like it. Very dissatisfied.
