Great Long Island Ice Tea!!!!! Nice to enjoy a meal sitting poolside. Fantastic bartender and servers. Good Manhattan but if you order one, do not let put it on the rock!!!!!!!Jon is the greatest bartender West of San Francisco in my opinion.
So apparently posted hours are merely suggestions. We tried to eat here two different times during our stay at Hilton Hawaiian Village. The last time we waited over 20 minutes for them to open and finally had to leave. I appreciate that you are “famous” from a TV show, but please update your hours on Facebook and your website. Or if an emergency has arisen, at least put up a sign on the truck (we saw someone in and out while waiting)
A great shrimp truck! I had the surf and turf and it was delicious. I loved how they put the steak bites and the shrimp on top of your french fries and the sauce was able to get on your fries also. This is definitely a go to spot not just for the iconic value of the shrimp truck but for the food! Don’t miss out on this hidden gem
I was really hesitant to try a food truck In Hawaii, However once I ordered the food and tasted it it was absolutely amazing!! We went all over the island of Oahu and tasted so many different garlic butter shrimp and that one was in comparison to this food truck. Gilligan’s beach check is by far the best garlic butter shrimp on the island in our opinion.
It wasn’t bad food at all. It’s also not really what I expected. The steak tips were burnt but the flavor was good. The sauce coated a lot of the fries so the bottom ones were sticky and soggy. The mai mai was good/okay. The shrimp was very delicious. It would have been better if it was warm.
I got the shrimp combo. Coconut shrimp, garlic shrimp. Which comes with a side of fries and coleslaw. Definitely get the coconut shrimp it was pretty good. Much better than I expected.
Read about this in a travel article. Easy walk from our Hilton Hawaiian Village accommodations. So good we may go here every day. The garlic shrimp tacos are delicious as was the Garlic shrimp combo. Lots of fries on the combo. They happily substituted more Cole slaw on the tacos for the fries. Everything was perfectly prepared. Great value especially for Waikiki.
If you are staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, you have probably seen this food truck in the parking area adjacent to the lagoon. Frequented by both tourists and locals, this place is both good and convenient during a beach day. Plenty of options for shrimp. Garlic and Coconut are standouts, along with the garlic fries. You can finish up your meal with a tasty shaved ice. Prices are reasonable considering where you are and the convenience. The staff are friendly and the line moves fairly quickly.
We ordered the surf & turf and the coconut shrimp two separate days and both times it was delicious! Great portions for the price. These guys know what they’re doing and I highly recommend them for a quick Oceanside bite!
I sais Aloha and asked the haole owner if he was the owner and what time he opened. He implied I couldn't read the very small sign where hours were posted and proceeded to call me a Karan. To recap, he called me a Karan for asking about opening hours in a polite way.
