Amazing spot. Great atmosphere and the food is awesome. They have a pretty good drink menu too. It's always busy but if you can get in it's worth it, especially if you can get a beach side tables. Live entertainment was also great and really added to the atmosphere. Definitely a must to checkout if you're visiting Waikiki.
From great atmosphere to great food. Hands down I've always left this restaurant feeling great and well full. Their drinks are awesome and they have awesome appetizers that will make you feel right at home. You have a wonderful view of the beach and on weekends there's live music. We ordered the coconut mojito, fish n chips, cheeseburgers and grilled fish tacos. All of them were 5 star!
I was a little bit dubious at first. Booking 3 months in advance for a lunch? Come taking the Mickey here people right? Worth the wait just for the hula pie. One slice was good for 4 of us but embrace the diabetes and have one to yourself. Worth it though. Great location on the beach and surprised how big it was inside. Our food was pretty quick and the staff were just delightful. Would go back just for hula pie. You can wait for a table but on peak periods expect an hour minimum wait. If you want a dinner reservation you are looking at 6 months in advance. Banger of a place.
Finding the validating parking was quite a challenge. Luckily we parked in a garage connected to Ross and was able to buy some slippers for $2. Parking was going to be $3 for every 30 mins without validation. The restaurant itself...Not impressed. It was a beautiful place with functioning staff and service. But, the food wasn't anything to rave about. I had the hamburger and the wife had the fish tacos. Her fish tacos were quite salty. I wouldn't finish it and I'm not a picky eater. My burger was dry; even cooked at medium (which it was). There was a buffet with a limited selection of food. Overall, I will always make the best of any situation and enjoy myself.. but, I would not go there again or recommend it since there are so many other great places to eat.
Can't get any closer to the beach and have drinks than this iconic place. The Hamburger plate was nothing compared to the Poke Tacos. Those were delicious! Definitely stop by here for breakfast lunch or dinner.
Awesome food, drinks, service ????
I was walking along the beach and interested in getting some dinner and something to drink so I stopped in and it was the perfect spot open air bar food was good bartender was attentive and it was a very nice environment
I have tried their breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food is good. I haven’t come across anything that I didn’t like. My favorite part is the breakfast. You have to get there before 7 (when it opens) because a lot of other people like it too. There is a huge fruit and breakfast buffet. Their drinks are good as well and I feel as though you get more for your money here. They give out full glass Drinks. You can eat/drink inside or outside. The bar has been full every time I’ve been there (minus breakfast). Like most places here, you have to watch out for the birds.
Came here for dinner when we were on our trip in Waikiki. We had about a 45 min wait on Friday night around 8pm so it wasn’t too bad. We were seated outside which was really nice because the weather was perfect, there was live music and the ambiance was great. The food was good, it’s similar to other places on the strip, nothing spectacular but it was decent.
Best meal, service and view of our trip! Can't wait to go back. Iconic place with so much history too. We made early lunch reservations, the first seating once they opened for lunch at 11:15am. We were able to get a great table right on the edge by the water. We started with the Vintage 44 Mai Tai with Koloa rum. Best Mai Tai around. Then we had a plate of coconut shrimp - so tasty. We planned to split the fish tacos, but they were so good we ordered a second plate! Fish was local and grilled to perfection. Outstanding food!! Make sure you don't leave without eating the Hula Pie! We ate every bite.
