Excellent curry and you get a decent amount for the price. CoCo Ichibanya locations are very consistent in Hawaii so you always know you'll get quality food.
Been going there over 30 years and used to be my go to spot to eat. Food quality has gone down and total trash to eat in to go box, only good when eating fresh and hot on a plate.. They dont even do dine in anymore which is disappointing, food is totally trash when not fresh, dont even bother ordering togo unless you like soggy fried food, and cold watered down curry sauce..
Why do you guys never answer the phone? I understand if it’s busy but every time I go in it usually isn’t. I try to order for lunch during my break but can never get an answer. If I have time I go down and order and wait but not everyone has time for that. The phone is kept on silent which explains why employees don’t answer because they don’t hear it lol. You guys are probably losing business by doing this. You guys should turn the ringer on when it’s slow and back off when it gets busy.
Cash or CREDIT!!!They finally take cards. 3% fee added but definitely beats trying to find an ATM or cash before going to Curry House. The curry is always good so no need for me to talk about that. Oh and it's take out only but we're used to eating in the car already.
Tastes ok, the service was fast, and they separated the curry from meat and rice so they don’t get soggy. Compared to the franchises in Japan it has a similar taste, but this location’s frying needs work. The fried outer layer was too crunchy like they used the oil in their fryer for too long. If they change that to a light crisp with fresh new oil they would taste the exact same as the ones in Japan.

I ordered the local #1, chicken cutlet curry w/ cheese. The curry was very good, though it wasn’t what I remember from Okinawa. Rather than the 1-10 spice level, they offer spicy or mild. I ordered the spicy, and they may have mistakenly gave me the mild. The chicken was crunchy and had a great taste.

Good curry always! The choices are plentiful and always good for a quick good tasting meal.
Can't go wrong with just the original Curry Katsu plate! Chicken was juicy and tender and the curry added the right amount of zest to the whole plate. Always a go-to when we we're in the neighborhood!
