The guy behind the cash register who runs the place wasn’t very polite at all. I ordered Crepes, Eggs Benedict, and orange juice. The total was $81! The crepes itself was (and I can’t stress this enough!) two hits and it’s gone. A glass of water would’ve filled me up. My girlfriend (from Switzerland) asked for the bill but he suggested she got the bill once it was already made and taken out forcing us to pay the bill. The organs juice (cup) was half full FYI. Not to include she said I was allergic to chocolate and the crepes has chocolate… Horrible service, horrible portions, and horrible pricing! I know a scam when I see it. Go find out for yourself if you don’t believe me.
We were so excited to try this place out. The French country decor was so stunning, the staff were friendly, the menu looked amazing but…. Firstly the drinks arrived, missing one which we had to ask for when it still wasn’t there 5 mins later, they did not look like the pictures in the photo menu but tasted ok. Certainly not worth the $8. Then our meals arrived, again one missing. When it arrived the bacon was so burnt it was black & the burnt flavour had permeated through the rest making it hard to eat. We complained about the burnt bacon and they brought some more on a side plate. The other meals were nice but nothing special and certainly not worth the money. With our breakfasts averaging around US$25 each & drinks $8 each it was a very disappointing experience. Also if you are a tourist, be aware it’s cash only & the ATM machine outside has a terrible exchange rate.
Located in the Wakikiki Monarch Hotel, The Cream Pot Brunch Stop is a beautiful smaller restaurant you must visit. The atmosphere is so calming and relaxing and the staff was so welcoming and friendly. The food is flavorful and very filling. The only minor issue here is they don't serve alcohol and a mimosa would have complimented their food magnificently.
Torn on this restaurant. It is very quiet and cozy but expect to wait in a long line. After 30 minutes they'll tell you it's cash only. Which apparently happens here frequently... seems suspicious. The food is definitely over sweetened but I guess some people like that? They have an ATM in the hotel, so add an extra $4 fee to your meal. Also I think this was the only restaurant that used plastic straws whereas everyone else had biodegradable.
First, the place is adorable. A lovely garden setting. Was told to have the souffle pancakes and we did. They were unique and fluffy with a nice lemon whip and cream. That and the smiling, quick service was the best part of this place. For 2 people with pancakes, one side of bacon, two lemonades and a tea--the bill came to $85. With tip, that's over $100. Which was not worth it. The mint lemonades were nothing special, quite bland (half the mint was black), the black tea I ordered had no taste as it was watery and I didnt even get a tea bag with it, the side of bacon was underwhelming. So we tried this place once and that was enough to pay such $$ for mostly average items. Got there at 7:45am to wait as they open at 8 and were seated right away when they opened. Oh, and cash only so had to lose $4 to the ATM fee to get cash out. So be aware before you go!
Highly recommend. Food and services were both well done. Souffle pancakes took the meal to another level...clouds. omelet, crepes, and benedict hit the savory spots. Then chased with some sweet pancakes really made the meal. Our service was impeccable, especially with how busy they were. Would recommend.
Recommended to us by our hotel receptionists, we were excited to try it out. The atmosphere and decorations made this restaurant look like it came out of a fairy tale and was reminiscent of Peter Rabbit. My partner and I had the Burgundy Beef Stew Omelet Rice, Mixed Berry Souffle Pancakes, and the Premium Hawaiian with Signature Mocha and Cream Pot Blend Ice Coffee to drink. The portions were just right, and the food was immaculate. The Burgundy Beef Stew Omelet exceeded my expectations. The Stew was hearty and savoury, the omelet was soft and fluffy, and the rice that was hidden within the omelet was creamy and flavorful. I would definitely have this item again! The Souffle Pancake was not overly sweet, and the texture was delicate and fluffy. It was a great dessert to have after trying their more savoury dishes. Service was quick, food and drinks arrived in a timely manner and the atmosphere was peaceful and nostalgic. 10/10 will be coming back, and bringing my friends and family!
Located inside a hotel, we waited about 15 minutes to be sat. This is a smaller restaurant and at least one large table that is shared between parties. If you have more than 4 people it may be difficult to be sat without a lengthy wait. The food was worth the wait! We got two omelettes and shared an order of fluffy pancakes. The omelettes were substantial if you enjoy a savory breakfast. The fluffy pancakes are unbelievable and something you don’t find everywhere. Prices were about $20 per dish.
I noticed this place accidentally thanks to lovely garden outside. And I am happy that this happened. We were welcomed by a servant and the menu was introduced to us. Decoration of this place brings me a memory of France. The meals looked just amazing but we decided to give a try soufflé pancake. Great choice! They’re so stuffy and delicious. Place is popular but waiting in the line will pay off Important info! There’s no card payment, cash only
The service and food were exceptional. The soufflé pancakes are the best ever. If you can, make a reservation. If not you can wait around 30 minutes for a table but it is worth the wait. Going again today!
