This place is a local favorite. If you're looking for island "crack seed" li hing mui type of goods, THIS IS DA SPOT. Loaded with all the ol skoo goodies. I've been coming here since I was in the 3rd grade. I'm 55 years old now‼️ This is one of my favorite stores and I love all their treats. Check it out.
Ono!! Can't wait to go back. My mouth waters just thinking about all the goodness inside this store.
I've been looking for a store that sells crack seed online for so long! Great quality products that immediately remind me of my childhood and meticulously packaged for shipment! Received on the mainland in record time from time of order!
I can't believe this place gets rave reviews I've been eating seeds all my life and these were the worst I've ever had, $53.53 down the drain. I bought five different seeds tried four and not going to even bother to try the last one, bitter after taste, no taste and what seems to be like a sickening saccharine taste, save your money!!!Very Disappointing..
Walked into what I thought i was a nice and eclectic bookstore but the owner is a rude woman and doesn’t deserve to be open to the general public if she’s only nice to the local whities that she personally knows and not the people of color that visit. What started as a friendly conversation quickly became a strange insult about she “don’t know me so she won’t tell me about “ blah blah blah.Basically the only thing that needs to change is the owner.Never give her one cent. Thanks for proving that you don’t have to be white to be a bigot.
Missed the old days of browsing, tasting before buying. Now you stand at the door and watch them measure what you picked on the poster board. Pay and leave, still tasty ?
The most authentic taste in all the seeds we bought over the last 60 years...Mango, plums, lihing moi...I am thrilled to have found this place.them...
So yummy and they have the best mango as well as Asato family ice cream yummmmmm
I've shopped this store in Kaimuki for 50 years. I probably first went as an infant in the '60's in the arms of my Grandma or Mom or Aunty or Uncle since it was in our neighborhood. As a keiki, it was my favorite shop for candy and crack seed and Icee. Used to ride my bike there 8 or 10 years old... by myself... imagine that these days.COVID-19 has changed everything including da Crack Seed Store but they have done a great job coping with the public health requirements. Only one at a time allowed but everything is in plain view.Still the largest variety of top quality crack seed presented in the old-timey jars.Still da best Icee machine.Still the friendliest and most efficient staff on the island, me ke aloha a me ka mahalo for their customers.
Delicious salty-sweet snacks (dried fruits & veg, including olives !) sold by weight. Sadly, most all of them contain artificial colourings and artificial sweeteners, which strangely seems to be typical of li hing / "crack seed" candies. (4 stars because of the chemical colourings & sweetener.)
