I have eaten here now three times in the last 2 months. There barbecue beef ribs are really amazing. I know some reviews didn't like the pork ribs but the beef ribs are generous portioned and priced very well. Their chocolate malts are priced very well and super tasty. The food was delicious 2 out of 3 times I have gone. The only reason they don't get a perfect is that I had my ribs overcooked once. They remade my plate and apologized.Food is amazing, staff is super friendly, and prices are bargain for the amount they give you. I highly recommend.
We drive by and saw a bunch of local people lined up, so of course we stopped. We ordered a mixed plate and shared. It was enough for two. There were two short ribs, beef and chicken with rice and macaroni salad. We are going back for breakfast.
Best food ive had in hawaii, not to mention the friendly staff. Must go. Beef ribs were amazing.
The location at a junction of two busy roads tells you this place must be good because it's not a pretty place to dine.Most customers were picking up takeaway orders but we decided to eat in (at a table under a roofed area with no walls).The food was classic American barbecue (sweet glazes) and was tasty and good value.Vegetable sides were lettuce with thousand island dressing and Korean slaw (the dressing was only slightly sweet). This is not a place for uncommitted carnivores.
Baby back ribs are the bomb! Im not from here so not so much the two scoops of rice and macaroni salad. It should have been real potatoe salad (with eggs and onions) and or mashed taters or a big ear of buttered ? corn! But all that is not even needed your going to be swollen from the ribs anyway.
Ribs were not fresh and on dry side Seafood platter barely passable. Disappointing given the good reviews. One and done.
Stopped here on the way home after the movies. I had the Bob's Special and spouse had the mixed plate. Good size servings, sauces for teri beef and rubs was good and I always love crunchy fries.
Heard that this was an awesome hike in the wall BBQ. We wanted to eat at a fun local place. My recommendation is to don’t, just don’t. I’m not a fan of Taco Bell next door, but I would have enjoyed my food much more there. BBQ sauce wasn’t good to me and everything is just smothered in a sauce that isn’t good. Baby back ribs tasted like they had been cooked and reheated 2-4 times before being served to me. They were not good at all. One of my kids choose a hamburger and it wasn’t anything to enjoy, again Burger King would have been a better choice. So if I’m giving you the recommendation to stick with the fast food places around Bob’s BBQ - you know it’s not worth it.Find another fun local place to eat. My guess is that their glory days are long gone and too many people keep trying it out because they heard it was good, like us. They have given up and you should give up on them.
Great selection of local food. We got the seafood combo plate and the mix plate with kalbi, BBQ chicken and pork. It was so good! Definitely going back for more. It does look kind of rundown on the outside, but the food more than makes up for it.
Really really good food. Friendly service and patient. All who go to Oahu a visit is a must.
