Cocktails were excellent. I had the Mai Tai which was delicious and well balanced.Service was phenomenal. The staff were so dedicated to making sure we enjoyed our experience. We loved Bar Leather Apron.
This was a phenomenal experience. Dim lit atmosphere with cozy seating. The drinks were fantastic and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend you make a reservation as the place stays pretty packed. While getting a table as a walk in is not impossible, you'll have better lick with just reserving ahead of time. Highly recommend for those who enjoy cragyed cocktails with a speakeasy type of ambiance.
I was blown out of the park with this bar. The bartenders were so knowledgeable about the different drinks and whiskies. I loved the whole experience and story behind each drink. You definitely need to try their smoky drinks. The presentation is quite the experience. The prices for the cocktails are also quite reasonable for what you are getting. Bring your fully charged phone because you'll be taking a lot of videos. The washrooms are located outside of the bar.Make sure you make a reservation!! It's very tiny!!
Had some of the best drinks of my life here. Staff is super friendly, extremely professional and knowledgeable. I have worked in cocktail bars/lounges in Vegas and the Bay Area and can say this is one of the best cocktail bars in the US.
Inside the financial building you will find the best drink and cocktail place in Oahu! The style is 1920 and the drinks comes with style! Informal and show like presentation of a large variation of drinks/cocktails. Most based of fine base ingredients, but also a lot of homemade concoctions of oak, tobacco or other taste/smell aged/barreled bases.
An awesome cocktail experience will be had by anyone visiting this gem in an office building in downtown Honolulu. It is a speakeasy, so it requires reservations and it is a quiet place for guests to truly enjoy their libations. Both my wallet and liver will attest that I have enough experience drinking at these types of places to recognize it’s excellence.
Fantastic.Scott’s attention to detail is amazing. You have his full attention while making your cocktail. He explains everything he’s doing and has time to answer your questions and have some fun conversation. He’s very willing to create a cocktail for you as well.
Been in the past and enjoyed it. My GF (as a restaurant owner) wanted to go back until I told her there was a pre paid $40 no show charge…she said ‘nevermind’ as there are other good options.
Bar Leather Apron ranked at the top of my lists for cocktails in Honolulu and lived up to its reputation. I was unable to secure a reservation for drinks on a Tuesday night, but had hoped that my partner and I would be able to score seats as walk-ins. Finding the bar itself was a challenge, but look for the brightly lit lobby of the office building, go through the doors, look for a flight of stairs that leads to the bar, just off the elevator bank. Given we had visited while Hawaii still had statewide restrictions for indoor dining, we waited about 10 minutes to be seated, but had been greeted by the bartender, had our vaccinations and ID checked and his apologies for the wait as he took care of some orders before he could seat us. Also, we had just made it in time before last call and could get in a nightcap before the bar closed for the evening (it was a Tuesday night, and operating under restrictions and in a commercial business building). The inside of the bar is highlighted by a polished wood bar, with comfortable bar seats. We were seated at a hightop off to the side of the bar. The feel was very much of a stylized Japanese whisky bar. The bar was able to make a non-alcoholic Negroni for my partner, which he said was the most interesting mocktail he had ever had. The server helped steer me towards the Royal Kunia as the better nightcap. We had a good view of the bar, and interesting cocktails involving smoke and fire were being made. The mixology here is stellar and I would gladly return over and over again for a cocktail here.
After a lot of searching for a Bourbon cocktail bar, I discovered this sweet intimate spot near downtown Honolulu. The cocktails we had were balanced and delicious. I was surprised by the very competitive pricing on much of the Bourbon. Great spot to check out if you’re looking for great speakeasy vibes and cocktails!
