A lovely little shop with incredibly friendly staff and probably the best sushi I've ever had.
I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! The owner is such a sweet lady! And the food is good for the price!I am a f/a who travels the world and stays all over the world. As such, I am always looking for economical ways to eat on layovers, especially in “tourist” areas. This place is priced lower than anyone around and I get good quantity for my price. I think the quality is good too, but I am not Asian, so I can’t really tell you if the noodles are the best, but they taste great to me!Aloha Sushi not only has sushi, but my vegetarian daughter likes their veggie sushi, and the also have noodles (I like the spicy ramen) & Teriyaki meat dishes too!The only people who might complain about this place are…negative people who like to complain, just so they can draw attention to themselves!
Beef udon was AMAZING and they definitely didn’t skimp on hot sauce when I asked for some on the side! Definitely coming back again
The workers were friendly, however the rice in the bento was tasted like what is put inside of the sushi. Not regular rice. The tempura in the udon was soggy. The rice to filling proportion had too much of the rice. I would not recommend. Low quality sushi...avoid this place.
The food was terrible. Still, this is Hawaii, and there are many Japanese and Koreans, so I expected the quality of rolls and sushi to be high, but it wasn't at all. The sushi at this restaurant was similar to the sushi at a restaurant in Paris, France, where doesn't know much about sushi. A typical tasteless sushi with a lot of rice and a very small amount of raw fish. I don't understand why other Koreans say it's delicious in reviews.
It's not a dine in, but it's one of the better meals I've had in Hawaii. All around Waikiki/Ala Moana, all the food is super expensive and doesn't taste that great. Aloha Sushi is probably the best option for non dine in. The fish is really fresh, the rice is marinated well, and the prices are really good. $2 for a hand roll, $13 for Bento box. They have good ramen also with real seaweed. 5 stars for the quality and price.
Food seemed overpriced and didnt taste good to me. No meat in the ramen, teriyaki chicken tasted sour. It is takeout only. Have to stand outside for food to be prepared, probably because if you are inside you will hear the microwaves beaping when the food is reheated. I ended up just throwing it away. Better off spending your money elsewhere.
I've been going there for years. The poke bowl is the best... local with a Korean twist. Lettuce, cucumber, kochjjung. Came back 2 years hoping the pandemic didn't shut them down... still there, still the sane great taste!
It's a really delicious and sincere food. The store is clean and the owner is so kind. It is an old store in Waikiki, and the secret of its long-loved love is sincerity. I want to eat it every day.
The owner is a very genuine and kindhearted person. Shes been running this business for over 20 years and for good reason, as the food is good. The staff are also really friendly and always serving with a smile. My faves are either the spicy volcano maki, the crunch, or spicy ahi cali maki. The udons and ramens are also tasty (i love noodles hehe). She’s also pretty flexible and you can also request to change your udon broth to a miso one!! I like to switch it up every now and then and also get the poke bowl or spicy ahi don.
