I’m giving it a 3 because out of the 3 times we came here this year 2 of them were really great. Good food. Good service. Fast. This last time was just horrible. We sat down and ordered, it took almost 2 hours for our food to come & 2 parties who came AFTER us got their food before us. We had our children so even more it wasn’t a very pleasant experience. It’s unfortunate we had to take our food to go because of it being 2 hours later and our kids are getting fussy already. Because of the experience we’re taking a break from here.
Food and atmosphere are fantastic. Drove 2 hours to eat here. If your in Hilo this is a must stop place to eat.
Enjoyed the meal but the service was surprisingly bad. We had empty glasses and waited for 30 mins before we got up and asked for the check.
Based on the reviews, I thought this “seaside” restaurant would be an attractive place to spend our first night in Hilo. Not. Although across the road from the bay, that proximity has little or nothing to do with the ambiance or lack thereof this establishment. We reserved a table more than a week in advance, but were relegated to an incredibly noisy storeroom with no view, no art, and a less welcoming space than my elementary school gymnasium. So we asked to move into the regular restaurant where the adults sit. “That will be a while,” came the answer. “How long,” we asked. “Never can tell,” was the answer. We left and went elsewhere, where customer service was in evidence and we had a delightful meal.
Creative fresh seafood dishes with great service. Tried Mahi-mahi, black cod, and special house sushi roll. All delicious. See also huge outdoor koi pond.
We are new to Hawaii. We have been there twice in two weeks ? nice people , nice place. We'll be going back for sure. I celebrated my birthday there. They sang happy birthday and gave me a great piece of mud pie. Fabulous lol.???
Fresh catch of the day was Ahi and Mahi Mahi. We had Ahi Poke Nachos and they were delicious!
Exceptional service and amazing food. The ahi nachos are my favorite seafood appetizer I've ever had!
Good service and good food. One of the best places for nice dining in Hilo. The sushi rolls were great as well as the other pupus and entrees.
