My only problem with this place is that I did not find out about it's existence sooner. Probably the best Thai food I've ever had, easily top 5.And I eat a lot of Thai food.
The restaurant is only doing take out at the moment but service is fast. I got the chicken cashew nut Curry that was enough to probably feed three or four people for $24.the curry was delicious as well as piping hot with rice included. Would go back again.
Tasty takeout! I’m a Thai food fanatic & this Coco soup was awesome. (Tom Kha). Got it with fried tofu, large portion.
Incredible Thai food. I had not had good Thai food in almost two years and ordered the pad see ew, my favorite dish, and was not disappointed. The noodles were perfectly chewy and well seasoned. Currently they are takeout only and I had to wait about 20 minutes for my food, but it was well worth the wait.
Went here twice for dinner during our 2 night stay in Hilo. Some of the best Thai food we have had ( and we are from a place with amazing Thai food). Everything was fresh and flavorful. Also they are very accommodating of vegetarians and able to make any meal vegetarian. We had green curry, Tom yum, and spicy fried rice. The first two things were really good, I’m not a huge fan of fried rice to begin with but this one was really tasty and not greasy. Highly recommend this place!
Take out only on weekdays, great service, generous portions, but $20 for pad Thai is a bit of a splurge ?
They are takeout only for now, from 4-8p. Ordered green papaya salad which was refreshingly delicious, Kang Penang with chicken was also yummy, and pad Thai with shrimp. All were very good and their medium has nice authentic heat. They even let you select Thai style hot. I’ve been to Thailand and Thai hot level is very hot so your are forewarned. When I asked for medium, he told me their medium is quite hot but that’s what we wanted. It was perfect for us. The portions are very generous and we could barely make a dent. Good value for your money and recommend this lovely business. Order!Parking is behind the plaza where Sombat is and you have to turn down the side street and enter the lot. They have a sign placard saying, Sombat parking, to help.
Ordered the Pinapple fried rice and the Pad Thai. Both dishes were amazing! Plenty of food to eat two days in a row! I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Hilo
Ordered mild chicken pad Thai—pleasantly tangy and sweet tamarind flavor with peanut, egg, carrot, green onion, bean sprouts, and a ton of noodles! Nice big portions and good flavor makes it worth the price tag. I think I’ll try medium spicy next time, and perhaps ask for extra sauce!
