Great!! We were looking for a good take out sushi place & let me tell you this place hit the spot!We ordered the Samurai Roll, Miso Soup, & Noodles. All dishes were great and enjoyable. Definitely will return!
My family and I have eaten here for many years. Today we had a terrible experience. After eating our meal we got the receipt. The receipt said $193. Then it said to add a tip. So we left $20 on the table since the waitress didn’t even check on us one time. Upon leaving we said we put the tip on the table. But they charged us on our credit card too. I called the restaurant back and asked if they could reverse the tip. They said I had to drive back. I was far away and did not want to waste gas. They got a $43 tip for a $165 meal. I will not be eating here ever again. The lady also hung up the phone on me the first time. Terrible customer service.
Very quaint dining area, nice decor. Staff is attentive and food is always prepared well. Get anything on the menu, it will be yummy. Hot sake with a tall beer is a good way to start. Add in handmade rolls right from the sushi bar, and it's a win!
Seriously delicious sushi for a great price. 100% recommend!
It's close to Hilo airport, and they are open till 10pm. A good place to get food right after getting off the airplane.
How do I find the words to express how wonderful the sushi is here? It was perfect. Absolutely perfect. We loved it so much we went back the next night too!! Seriously amazing in all ways.
Excellent meal, great prices, good service. We had chicken teriyaki, salmon teriyaki, and a variety of sushi and it was all very good. Teriyaki comes on a sizzling plate.
Great Japanese food. Very reasonable prices. Popular but we got in at 6:30 pm after 15 min wait. After 8:00 pm, no wait. We had miso soup, shrimp and vegetable tempura, chicken teriyaki, and bento box with sushi and sashimi. All fresh fish. Very good sticky rice. Other tables ordered tempura, teriyaki and huge variety of sushi rolls.
Sakura is by far the best Sushi restaurant in all of the Pacific Islands. The owners are great people and personal friends of 8 years. All 4 restaurants are equally superior and affordable.Ask for the Tre Roll!!!
Surprisingly delicious sushi rolls - well seasoned and good portions (California roll, Godzilla roll, nigiri salmon, nigiri spicy scallops, and samurai roll). We saw someone else order teriyaki chicken and it came in a sizzling platter. Looked delicious so might be worth a try.
