Everything from comfort food to the locals singing happy birthday for their neighbors to the bartender anticipating one's next order makes this a nice place to have stumbled upon.I'll be certain to make myself a regular.

The food here is good, enchiladas are delish and moist, chicken is not dry like others. They are pricey but they will give you a good portion. They are located in a strip mall, and has limited public parking, We went there monday, Service is slow, feels like they only have 2 servers, serving 10-15 tables. They spray sanitizer on the tables, after clearing it, which is nice. Definitely will eat here again.

Really good Food and delicious Margarita.

So we took a chance on “Mexican food” found Reuben’s. Not having any expectations, it was surprisingly very close! We ordered Chili Verde, Lengua Taco, Chili Relleno, Pork Tamale, all came with rice & beans, taco was al la cart. Drinks were good too. Enjoy ?

I love trying Mole sauce wherever I go, this sauce was not very good. It tasted like an enchilada sauce. I questioned if it was Mole! The rest was OK.

Good margaritas, good food, wait staff are always nice and helpful! Highly recommended especially since Hilo does not have a lot of Mexican food places. Right next to farmers market so good place to go after shopping at the market.

Good food, margaritas n nice place

My husband just moved here from Mexico a few months ago and we did NOT expect to get decent Mexican on the island, but this place was great. Even the mole was good and that’s hard to get right.

Okay food that wasn't particularly Mexican food. Explanation of my opinion follows:My wife and I ordered queso, chimichanga, and chilli colorado. The queso was a nacho cheese bowl that might have had some seasoning in it. It was significantly improved by the addition of some of the salsa. The chicken chimichanga contained the wrong seasoning profile for mexican food, more fruity than savory (cilantro, cumin, or hot pepper would be examples of savory in this context). Finally, the chilli colorado was more like a beef pot roast with gravy than a pepper-based red sauce; the sauce was brown when "colorado" literally means "color red". The food wasn't bad... just not what was advertised.

Fast courteous service & good food. Chill ambience, clean with well spaced tables. I plan to go back with my family soon for food & cocktails.
