Always a bit of a wait because they do not take reservations. Wait is worth it. Many wonderful options to choose. We had a wonderful waiter. Loved atmosphere with good music, happy people, an amazing selection of beer and hard seltzer!!! The selection was so excellent we had to try more than expected so definitely take caution whoever is driving!!!
We decided to try this place out for drinks and dinner. By the end of the night we were all glad we chose to come here.This place is quite popular and we waited about 30 mins to get a table. It so happened live bands were playing that night and a whole bunch of local singers showed up to play. A pleasant surprise was Ka'ikena Scanlan closing out the jam session with Utu Bang Bang.For the food and drinks, we got samplers and tries out a bunch of beers, seltzer and ciders. Personally I enjoyed the ciders and the dragonfruit lemonade ciders tasted great. Most of us got burgers and it was delicious with the Sriracha mayo they added on the burger.We all had a fun time. The food and drinks were good and the atmosphere with the live music made it an awesome time. Glad to have visited this place and will definitely come back again.
Friendly service. My Shrimp bao bun had two pieces of shrimp in a very doughy bun. Would not recommend it. The taco (octopus) was Tasty but not great. The food was better when we ate there before. I had a hamburger then which was good but my husband had a hamburger this time and rated it just OK. They were busy this time so that may have made a difference.
We visited this brewery after a long day at Volcanoes National Park. We were hungry and tired. The atmosphere was upscale and swanky. The food was OK. Service was fine. If it had been a date night for just my wife and I, it would have been nice, but it was not the laid-back pub grub I was seeking after a day hiking all over lava fields. I had three Bao buns, which were too spicy for my taste. My kids said the grilled cheese was pretty good. The kids menu was pretty limited.
Absolutely fantabulous!! What a great experience we had tonight. ? I have celiac and I was able to have so much deliciousnes!! Our host sat us immediately and was so friendly! Kiara was her name ? such a beautiful human! Thank you! She took really good care of us. Our drinks were always full! Food came out within 15-20 minutes. Hot, delicious, and fresh. Absolutely amazing. We left before trivia, which was sad. But we were tired!Thank you Ola brew! We'll be back!
Busy place. Sat right away, though. Ordered beer?? and some food. Food came out and yes, it was pretty good. Curry fries, meatballs,pork BAO, and steak w/ fries. Medium rare and tasty. Curry fries, well, it's curry so yes they were tasty. Meatballs flavorful. Pork bao bun, good but a little overcooked. Overall a pretty good experience. The severs were a good time. If I'm inHilo I will check it out, again
Beer, hard seltzer, hard cider, and hard teas are all delicious. Curry fries are yummy. Bao bun offerings are great choice for intensely flavored smaller dinner. Had the crispy shrimp. My partner had the fried chicken thigh. Both had unique sauces. They are like fluffy tacos! Stand out is the smash burger. The caramelized onions and cheese are balanced with a perfectly grilled meat patty. Served with fried or salad. Can't go wrong.
We loved trying all of the ciders at Ola. They were all delicious, but the dragonfruit lemonade cider was my favorite! The food was also wonderful - we had the octopus and the lechon on the shared plates and we ate every last bite.
Hawaiian gold cider and hazy ipa, Pork belly and roast beet salad. Great choices enjoy the food!
If you’re on the Big Island make the time to visit this brewery! Laid back atmosphere, good brews, and great food. The Ma’a lager is the perfect addition to your day on the island; wish we can get it in South Carolina, as it cools oneself on a hot and muggy day. Don’t leave without trying one of their pineapple ciders. The taco pizza and burger were my favorite; however, the mushroom and chicken tacos will keep you wanting more. This is a must visit brewery!
