First off the employees here are amazing, they had a line out the door and we’re moving trying to get people order out as quickly as possible. Thank you for that! I highly recommend this place if you’re on the island. Must go to!!***Dragon fruit with fruity pebbles is my favorite.Mahalo
The unicorn soft serve is a swirl of ube and dragonfruit with sprinkles and is amazingly creamy and delicious. Was very disappointed to see how hollow they made the inside of all our cones.The ube smoothie and the cookies and cream smoothies were both very watery and quite disappointing.
Had the soft-serve swirl with dragon fruit and ube. The dragon fruit tasted more like pineapple. The ube was yummy though. The acai bowl was big, more than enough to share between 5 people.
I'd heard about this place in several travel blogs as THE place for acai bowls in East Hawaii. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint.Makani's has a decent light menu (sandwiches, bowls, smoothies, etc) and the prices were reasonable. Higher than mainland, but not really for the island.I had a dragon fruit bowl, and my daughter-in-law had a smoothie. Both were tasty and beautiful. They use quality ingredients. Service was fast and efficient.The store was fairly full with limited indoor seating, but there were several tables on the sidewalk (which came with the bonus of a nice breeze). I will definitely be back!
The sandwiches here are quite large. I consider them as two meals in one package. Smoothies are alright, but the Ube soft serve ice cream is divine. Popular spot with a que, definitely worth the wait.
My husband and I split their take on a blt. Delicious! We were both stuffed. Generous on all the ingredients. Everything was very fresh.
We split a great sandwich and then had chocolate macadamia nut ice ice cream. Both were very good!!!
Traveling from Miami with my wife and we are absolutely in love with this place! Everything about it is just perfect! We ordered the Avotastic sandwich, aloha açaí and dragonfruit pitaya. The entire menu is great! The service was spectacular, staff was extremely friendly and the place is super chill! This place is outstanding! 5 stars aren’t enough.
Tried their halo halo, dragonfruit soft serve and thai iced tea ice cream. I enjoyed the dragonfruit soft serve and thai iced tea ice cream. The flavors were rich and perfect to have on a hot day. My partner who got the halo halo said he didn't quite like it. He wasn't a fan of the ube and mango ice cream that gets mixed together as you drink it. Also they should use regular boba instead of the popping kind because that's too many flavors not mixing well as you drink it.
Loved the shakes, bowls and sandwiches. Finding parking was a pain but worth the circles around the block for my Mahalo-Halo.
