First off I love IHOP but todays service wasn’t good.1. We came to IHOP before the sun went down and we got our food when it was almost closed2. There was hair on my French Toast3. Lady said that was all our food but forgot my Chicken and Pancakes. She forgot about it so I cancelled that order.4. Waiter didn’t check up on us and refilled waters5. Asked for takeout plates but it took her 10-15 for one6. Attitude terrible (must because it was Night Shift but there’s no excuses)Anyways IHop is great but today was just not a great day I guess!
Update 4/2022. Waitress Maria is awesome!!! I wish all the restaurants in town had someone like her serving. 2 of the dishes we ordered were sold out, but Maria was sincerely apologetic and offered similar substitutions right away. Her energy and attitude is pleasant and makes all the difference when the menu goes wrong. Thank you for your kind and personal service, Maria.Go for happy hour, 2 to 10pm daily. Plates are ridiculously priced otherwise. I would say THE most expensive restaurant in all of Hilo - it's just an IHOP - it's just breakfast! Lol. Almost $20 for 2 eggs x 2 meats. Staff was nice. Place was clean.
The food was great but a little pricy for me. Service was also amazing but I find the energy to be a lot more vibrant in the staff in the morning than in the afternoon/night hours. All in all, its a great place to go for omelets, burgers, and of course pancakes.
Went here for my birthday to get free pancakes as advertised only to be told they don't do free pancakes but I may have a Sunday? No thanks. Should remove the free pancakes on your birthday sign on your door. False advertising. Aside from the very high prices. Hawaiian style cafe is much better food and service. Kinda bummed me out on my birthday tbh. Who denies the free pancakes as advertised on their birthday? IHOP that's who
Great place to eat and the stuff was super friendly. Especially the store manager. She came to our table as it was obvious that we are tourists and we had a nice talk which really made our day. She even offered our refill drinks for takeaway
Just your regular rin of the mill IHOP. Delicious as always. Staff was great. All you can eat pancakes!!!!
This was our choice to eat at since the pandamic started 2 year's ago. Very well spaced-the service is wonderful as were the staff. Omelet and the Southwest chicken burrito and especially the pancakes were wonderful.
The service was excellent and the coffee was amazing!! Definitely not your average ihop coffee! I’m still dreaming about and craving that sweet chocolaty Hawaiian ihop coffee. Honestly it was the best coffee I’ve ever tasted in my life. The manager was the sweetest person as well and she was the type of manager to assist her staff and get her hands dirty, not the supervise and order people around type. I’m honestly not an ihop fan, but we went while on vacation because my dad loves to eat at ihop. I’m so glad we went! The food and service was better than some other local restaurants we tried.
Fast food service, and the breakfast bowls were new (to us) and awesome. The staff are always friendly.
Had the turkey platter. It was dark meat not white. I had a teaspoon of stuffing. Soupy mashed potatoes. Everything was cold. I’ll never g there again. The the service was good but slow. Go somewhere else.
