Great cocktails, appetizers & sushi ?. Equally great atmosphere & service ??

Wonderful views of the Hilo Bay. Food was delicious and drinks were creative and generous. Great value for the money.

This restaurant is situated in Hilo Bay and offers a lovely view of the ocean. Staff were friendly and food choices were many. Each offering was excellent. Not a bad list of wine too!

One of our best lunches ever…anywhere! What a special place! From the moment you enter, see the art, the orchids and flowers and are warmly greeted to the time you leave…perfection! We had an outside table and it was beautiful. As vegetarians, we were delighted with the incredible mushroom pot pie and salad and got a side of jicama slaw…so good! And a side of potato salad! Also great. Had to pass on dessert but the choices were great too! Lovely, smart, gracious server! A truly memorable time!

great food, awesome service

Wonderful place overlooking Hilo Bay from up high. Combine it with a stroll through the Liliuokalani park. We sat at the bar for lunch. The bartender is very friendly and helpful and the food is very nice. We had the mushroom pot pie and the veggie burger. Bothe we’re very good.

We've had a wonderful experience at Hilo Bay Cafe for lunch! The bartender was incredibly friendly and the food was amazing. Highly recommend their traditional chirashizushi.

Still the best restaurant in Hilo. You cannot beat the combination of great food, fantastic view and impeccable service anywhere else in town. Highly recommend. Make your reservation in advance, walk-ins have trouble getting a place at the bar let alone a table.Highly recommend the sushi.

Quality food, great atmosphere and friendly staff. I had a parmasan custard, torched hamachi roll, and mixed green salad. Everything was on point and very delicious. They are completely booked for a month. If you get there close to the opening time, you can probably get a bar seat. I'd comeback when I'm back to Hilo.

Best. Place. In. Town. Can’t beat the quality of food or atmosphere. And for a surprisingly great price. We’re already wondering how soon is too soon to go back haha.**sometimes reservations are required. They didn’t used to require them, but they have been getting busy lately and it might depend on whether you’re going for lunch/dinner & weekday/weekend. We weren’t clear on that, but they were nice enough to fit us in last minute on a Saturday night
