great selection of chocolate and macadamia nuts.
2007 was the last time we went to visit here before moving from Oahu in August. I was looking forward to eating their delicious macadamia Ice cream served in a cone but was sad to hear they didn't have that anymore. We did enjoy watching the ladies making the chocolates and got my milk chocolate macadamia crunch fix Happiness ?
Were there as part of a tour group for "a tasting of many samples". Not So!! High priced, no help of any kind. Some bought a couple items and were given a tiny bonus a checkout. Disappointing! A bad business model to be sure. Reeks of typical tourist trap. Maybe their products are good. The bait and switch killed the mood for MOST of us. We just waited for the motor coach to return.
Staff is kind and helpful. Got free samples in my bag when I made my purchase. Shortbread cookies are great and they had nice valentine packages available.
What can I really say about chocolate covered macadamia nut cookies but that they are delicious. You can see the workers hand dip the cookies in the other room behind a large glass window. The employees working there are quite friendly. A little pricier, but you’re buying straight from the factory. Of course you can also purchase chocolate covered macadamia nuts. ?
Nice clean place with attentive staff. The selection was limited due to COVID-19 related shortages but recommend anyone on the big island take the time to visit.
High quality treats. They give you full size sample cookies. The facility looks great but the candy making machines were off which would be cool to see in action. Lots of parking and within the town of Hilo.
Nice to visit and see the packing of their products. Sad no longer giving sample cookies and coffee due to COVID-19.
There is no better place on the Big Island to get candies and assorted just to eat such a shortbread nuts brownies chocolate etc. Most of it comes packaged in individual wrapping as well as some coming assorted specialty boxes that have custom wrapping. Highly recommend if you're looking for a place to stop to get gifts from the Big Island.
I especially love shopping at the holidays. In addition to all of their yummy goodies, the holiday displays are always beautiful. There were lots of bare shelves this week. Supply and employee shortages has made it a challenge for them to keep up with the busy Christmas season. Some of our favorites were sold out so we tried some different things and found new favorites ?
