Did not regret stopping here after a morning of exploring. Had a 3 choice plate lunch. Garlic shrimp, teri beef and chicken katsu. I think probably the best meal I had on the island. Pineapple Macadamia cheesecake after was delicious. Wish I had some now.
Best garlic shrimp I’ve found on Oahu to date (worth the wait in line). What I love: A) it is peeled and deveined; B) the shrimps are bathing in a buttery garlic sauce and then topped with Parmesan.Pro tip: after you’re done enjoying the shrimp — dump the remaining sauce on the rice for some added flavor.
Positive reviews don’t lie! After making the trip from Waikiki, we were hungry and irritated from all the non stop traffic due to all the construction going on the way up. Well, to save the day we pulled off to the side as Ted’s is in the midst of that construction and WOW was it a game changer to our moods. The service is great bec they are so focused on getting peoples orders in and the pie and Hawaiian BBQ plate is outstanding. Dumb reviews when people say you pay the the name, because the amount of food you get for that price is the best deal we found on the entire island! Way to go Teds Bakery for being so legit! ?
Actually, we got their pie at a supermarket but in 2 weeks you will have to travel to Sunset beach to buy their pies due to supply issues of the pandemic. The crust was tender; the chocolate pudding was not-too-sweet and with a good chocolate flavor well coupled with the haupia(coconut) pudding. Absolutely out -of-this-world island flavored pie worth the drive to Sunset beach which is scenic.
Solid breakfast with large portions at a reasonable price. The omelette was easily big enough to share. It’s worth the stop if you want to avoid high priced hotel breakfasts.
Stopped at the bakery on drive back to Laie from the Dole Plantation. I got a yummy crab sandwich on a delicious homemade bun! It does have bacon, tomato and onions. Also, got DELICIOUS Chocolate Chip Macadamia Nut cookies no one has mentioned. Get a cup of them !
Breakfast egg sandwiches hit the spot. Portuguese donuts also were excellent. Most of our wait in line was outdoors. We entered the building to order. Then waited outside for the staff to bring it out. Didn’t take too long. There wasn’t seating on site. We took our food in the car to a park and ate it there. Hit the spot!
