We visited the North Beach area during our most recent visit to Oahu - and wanted to dine at one of the taco/shrimp trucks because of all the hype about them. We picked North Shore Tacos. I was not exactly blown away - we have many taco trucks in California, and quite frankly, the food is much better from the California trucks. That said, we still enjoyed our meal
An absolute must if you are anywhere near them. It can be strangely difficult to find a fish taco that hits all the right notes on Oahu, but these guy have it down. My wife and kids said their tacos were the best they had ever had, and that is saying something. The nachos were large and cheesy and you can grab some of their awesome lemonade or hit the next truck over for a shave ice.

Certainly did not live up to the promise of being “Hawaii’s best fish taco”. The fish tacos did not taste fresh and the nachos had no taste at all. For over $40 for two plates, you can definitely get more bang for your buck elsewhere. There are so many great food trucks around the North Shore, but sadly this is not one of them.
Good place for a quick bite and some shopping. Decent size parking lot depending on the time of day you’ll get a spot. We ordered online and didn’t have to wait in line. We got the nachos to split was a good snack but would definitely order more for a more filling meal. Strawberry lemonade was delicious. The nachos came with guacamole sour cream and pico but if I ordered again I would order an extra side of pico and guacamole. It was a good portion for one but if splitting I would definitely add some extras. Lots of picnic tables to eat at in the shade but was definitely busy/full so if you have a large group it may be tricky to find a spot. No photos because we ate quick and we’re on our way to the beach!
We enjoyed greatly the shrimp tacos. Fresh taste of the island. The pineapple salsa was a favorite, a must try. The Taco Truck was a great choice to eat and watch the sunset after a great day.
Not worth it. Save your money and find another taco truck. Got the beef surfin tacos- way too salty, limpy cold flour tortillas, chips were stale and the salsa in a tiny tartar sauce size cup is a joke. They have a choice spot along snorkeling spot, but if you have to eat around here then try the North Shore Shrimp truck next door.
We went to the truck because of all the rave about taco trucks on Oahu. This one was right across from where we snorkeled at Shark's Cove. We paid $78 for 4 taco plates. The rice was hard, the beans were not fully cooked and the tacos were not good. VERY DISAPPOINTING. Don't waste your money. I can't believe we wasted so much money.

Dry, flavorless, paid for double meat - tiny portion, invisible cheese, worst taco EVER! Total rip-off. Disgusting. DO NOT EAT HERE.
