This place is crowded with a long line that does move quickly so you are not waiting that long. This was my first time ever having shaved ice and it was good - I enjoyed it - but I did not fall in love with it he way so many people do. There are not a lot of places to sit and eat. It is an outdoor commercial area with other shops - it’s a cute town to walk around in. Sadly, I think it was not so much Matsumoto, but shaved ice just wasn’t as great as all my friends had described.
Get it. Just DO it
Definitely recommend trying one time. The additional offerings on the shaved ice were great. Try the condensed milk over the ice. Yummy!
By far the best and least expensive Shave Ice on Oahu. Family came here after my son recommended it, and we were happy we did. Large gift shop where you can plenty of themed items.
First time having hawaiian shaved ice and both my husband and I were pleasantly surprised. Smallest size is still very large. Ice is fine and syrup soaks all the way through. Nice treat on a hot day. Lineup took us about 15 mins to get to the counter. Many many flavors and combinations. Worth a stop off if you are in the area. Busy . They sell other merchandise also like Tshirts etc. Parking at the lot in back get full.
Amazing shave ice worth the long lines. At times it seems like the lines are unending and it just goes on forever and many do leave the line as the grow impatient waiting in the long line. But the line is long for a reason and it’s the best shave ice I ever had. It was tough to wait with the family but oh so worth it! No one was complaining at all! So just go! Worth the wait
Our shave ice was perfect for a bright hot sunny summer day exploring the North Shore.
The shaved ice was soo good, with condensed milk and ice cream. So good!
The place is obviously very popular. However, as a result, service is indifferent. No personal touch like many of the mom and pops businesses we visited. I will say it was delicious. Mine was short on syrup. Asked for more and they did top it off. Mahalo.
Crazy long lines, small store, tons of bees everywhere so you know it’s worth of a taste. Again I didn’t go too crazy with my choices. Had azuki beans on the bottom and condensed milk. I went with guava, lilikoi and pineapple. Pretty decent choices…should have gone all out and gotten the ichiban special but I didn’t want to stick to one flavor.
