Had to come back after 6yrs. I ordered the shrimp scampi. If you love garlic this is it. The plate comes with I believe a dozen shrimp with tons of garlic ? 2 scoops of rice with butter sauce and more garlic. We were lucky when we arrived there was only 1 person ordering in front of us.Make sure you bring CASH since this is the only form of payment. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because of parking. It's very limited. We found parking on the street and I noticed that the parking lot charges 2$. If you find a space available. The other reason is finding a table. They have benches that the food trucks vendors all share so you need to wait for a table. Oh a be careful with all the birds and those pesky flies.

If you are visiting, chances are someone told you to go to Giovanni’s. Honest opinion time. The shrimp is good, damn good. The line is generally really long. The parking is awful to say the least. However, all the negative things you will read. Just go here for the experience and really good shrimp. Don’t worry about what other people say. Enjoy the island time on North Shore.

Visited the infamous Giovanni’s shrimp truck while we were in Northshore and it was average at best. We were the first people in line and arrived about 10 minutes before they opened as we heard the lines can get a bit hectic. The food truck did open a little late and this was due to a food inspection from a local food inspector. After we placed our order we discovered that the food safety rating for the place had actually dropped and the place was under review due to unsafe food handling - disgusting. We had already ordered our food so we decided to commit to it and the inspector did not shut the place down so I assumed we would be safe to still eat here. We ordered the half and half combo and of garlic and hot and we found the hot one too be too acidic. The hot sauce was basically just vinegar and chili flakes. The garlic one had a much better flavour, however the shrimp was overcooked and hard to peel. Also, they left some veins in some of the shrimp. The best part was the macaroni salad. It was creamy and delicious and we actually ordered an extra one after. The vibe was pretty cool as there was other food trucks in the area and there was benches set up for eating.Overall, the place has decent flavours and the price is fair, but I would not return.Ps. Be warned you have to pay for parking in the lot shared by the food trucks, which is pretty stupid even though it was a $2

amazing shrimp! If you like garlic, this is the ultimate. Line was not bad at all when we went on a Wednesday about 2pm. Next time will try the hot dog just for kicks but will never pass on the shrimp!

There's a reason the lines are long here and its because the food is Amazing!! We each got plates of garlic shrimp and rice and my only disappointment was that we were too full after. LOL! We could have easily gone back for more because it tasted so good.

I am not surprised how busy their truck was, I ate here 6 years ago and it was the best shrimp scampi I have ever had. I shared it with my wife this time a few weeks ago when vacationing and it is still good. It wasn't as good as I remember, it never is, but the portion sizes were as big as I remember, shrimp done right, cooked with all of its skin and buttery goodness. The rice wasn't as perfectly cooked but absorbed most of the sauce. I wish I could come back every year but it is definitely a good spot for shrimp from a food truck.

Okay I had really looked at the reviews before making the trip to North Shore to stand in line and eat their famous shrimp. It’s a good portion size but I would not stand in line again for it. The shrimp Is fresh you taste the butter and garlic but I feel like it lacked salt. It was missing a little flavoring. My palate is different maybe because I am Hispanic and to me it was a bit bland the flavor. Take some salt with you.

Your mouth will start watering as you stand in line waiting to order. I got the garlic shrimp and was not disappointed. There were a dozen shrimp, smothered in fresh garlic along with two scoops of rice, also topped with garlic. I have had plenty of scampi in my life, but this has got to be some of the best I've tasted. Definitely worth the stop and the line!!

Holy moly! SOOO good. Ok, yes, we scanned the reviews but went in with an open mind. DO NOT be deterred by those that may warn "too much garlic" on the scampi. It is AMAZING!

Yes, Giovanni's Shrimp Truck definitely lives up to the hype! There Shrimp Scampi flavored shrimp is delicious!
