I used to go here every day for lunch. To the point the owner knew exactly what I wanted when I walked in and all I had to do was give him my card. I miss this place so much. The food is always fresh and their plating never misses a beat. Its literally a hole-in-the-wall joint, so expect outside seating. I plan on coming back here with all my friends when I visit in 2023

One of my favorite casual sushi spots. It's a small spot with epic sized portions and unbeatable customer service!! The aunty and uncle that run the eatery are always so attentive and kind. We usually catch boba tea while we wait for our order. As soon as we walk back, everything is ready. And, now that the outdoor seating is opened, uncle even walked all our food out to greet us at one of the tables. My son who is ordinarily shy is always so excited to eat here and waves enthusiastically as we leave. He describes Makoto as the "big sushi place"! A definite must-stop at spot in Aiea.Pro-Tip: don't skip out on the mandoo. They take a few minutes to cool down but taste is totally worth the wait!!

The uncle here really knows how to roll! Sushi here are enormous and packed with more than enough ingredients. Friendly service and tons of parking.
